[Video | Both Courts] 01st Storm
[Soren has been gathering information rather than being social with the rest of the newcomers at Caer Glaem. Now, feeling as though he's got enough knowledge of the Drabwurld to satisfy him for the moment, the mage turns to the Locket network. He's hoping that a certain someone from his world is here, but at the same time, he doesn't know if they're on opposite sides or the same one. Therefore, it's easier to not call him out and hope that the guy answers, if he's here.
He is at least going to learn something useful about the magic here, and possibly in other worlds.]
I'd like to know how different magic is across the worlds, as well as here. The limits, the necessary components, incantations, how you channel it, any other such thing you can think of.
[He holds up a red, leather-bound book.]
As an example. Tomes are for offensive magic. Knowing and speaking the ancient language it's written in allows communication with the elemental spirit of that particular tome. Good communication allows one to control the direction of the spell, while poor communication can lead to accidents with unfortunate results. Some end in death, but most end in grievous injury, depending on the spell.

Hm. I think I can find my way there. I'm trying to lie low a little, but they've got mountains of books, right? I'll blend right in.
[Or rather, even someone his size could get lost in them easily enough.]

Enough to possibly hide you with little effort. I'll be in the back of the library.
[It's the most out of the way place, so that should help.]

[It's a little hard for someone Ike's size to move inconspicuously anywhere, but he at least tries not to skulk too obviously as he heads for the library. He makes it there with a minimum of fuss--only one and a half wrong turns--and heads for the back, relaxing a little behind the cover of bookshelves.]
Soren?

I trust you had no trouble finding this place?

I just followed the smell of dust. Are you trying to read the whole library right now?
