[ alright, time to be annoying for the sake of rounding up the troops. the demigod troops, to be exact, but it's those particular hooligans that she's been feeling a desperate need to round up and talk to for some time now. too much has gone on, and there hasn't been enough talking about it, as far as she's concerned. so, maybe she's hoping being the resident not-demigod camper might get her some pull for this kind of thing. she'll even get on camera and glow menacingly if she has to, but. hopefully she won't. for their sakes, of course!! that ish is crazy intimidating, and she doesn't actually want to scare them into meeting up. but yeah, so. anyway... ]

Have you ever picked up an awful habit from someone you know well? Apollo always writes terrible haikus and sometimes I do, too. So now I'm writing to tell my demigod friends - it's time to meet up. I don't care where, but if you say no, I'll never stop the haiku-talk. Let's pick a time and place right now to avoid this horrible fate. 'Kay?

Yeah. Luckily I have a degree in crazy already, or I'd be totally freaking out. How are you doing?

Oh, you know. Creepy dreams. Being stuck inside while everybody else does some thrilling heroics. The usual.

It wouldn't be normal if people like us didn't have creepy dreams. Still sucks though. I'm sorry.

Nah, hey, it's okay. Comes with the territory. It just makes me wish I could do more to help out, you know? I haven't had a prophecy here, which is... good. But it's not exactly making me feel useful, either.

You can find other ways to help. Everyone's got potential. They just have to find out what it is.

I could draw motivational posters to hang around the castle.

[ She's not really sure, but she doesn't want to discourage her either. ]

[ she tries to think of a clever saying to put on a poster, but she just ends up laughing ]

I was going to try and run with that, but I can't. I was just kidding, Piper. I wouldn't mind painting some stuff they could hang in those empty rooms, but not- motivational posters. [ she grins ] I'll think of something though, you're right. Now that Percy's here, maybe I can convince him to teach me how to swordfight or something.

If he gets weird about, we can find someone together. Hazel was teaching me, but I think I can improve.

Yeah? That's great. I mean, sure. [ she's trying to BE COOL here, but no she really is reallyreally excited to have someone to practice with, even if it is a demigod who would probably pick up on stuff waaaay faster than her ] I'm not exactly Jane Sportsball or anything, but I figure learning a few basic things, for self defense, wouldn't hurt.

It's good stuff to know. You may not be Jane Sportsball, but you can be Dana Defense or something.

I'm really okay with being Dana Defense. Better than Sally Sidelines. It drives me crazy knowing you guys - well, you guys, my camper friends from home - are out fighting the good fight and I'm ..not. So. Yeah, alright. I'll bug Percy at this meeting, maybe.

Yeah? I should warn you - Percy will either be more than happy to show me how to use a weapon properly, or he'll insist that I don't need to learn, that I won't have to worry about anything like that. If he goes with the second option, I might have to resort to puppy eyes and saying "please" a lot. Will you still have my back, under those circumstances?

[ she knows that's probably not what she meant, but she'll roll with it ]

Sure. I won't do puppy eyes, but I can point out how useful it is for a person to learn how to defend themselves.
