I've heard that this magic device is the best way to address both the Seelie and Unseelie courts and their members. In the midst of all of this chaos surrounding these disgusting worm beings, I find myself wondering why it is that no one has tried to take a general census of the population. We're clearly, most of us, new arrivals. For whatever reason that may be, it stands to reason that we should at least talk to each other. Especially since it's likely that we all have at least one or two other people we know from our own homes. So, first things first. How many of you have come across someone you knew before you arrived here? Are they friends, or are they enemies? How are you handling things? ( Lydia has determined that she needs to take a survey, more or less, and find out as much as she can. See if she can discern any patterns in the population. See if she can find a rhyme or reason to what's going on... To why this place, why these people, why this timing. )

Secondly. If there's anyone else here from Beacon Hills... Speak up. Clearly there's something going on here that involves at least a few of us. I'm wondering how many more of us there are.

I've only found one person from home here, but he's a part of the other faction.

I don't know why these people would bring us here if they're going to try and make us fight our own friends.

I've been lucky in that the people I've found from home are, at least I think, all part of my own faction. I don't understand the logic behind pitting friends against friends, either. It sort of defeats the purpose, doesn't it? Bringing us here to serve as a part of this war they're staging, but then making us fight someone we care about doesn't exactly make anyone sympathetic to the cause.

I've got three friends from my world here that I've found so far. [two of them aren't exactly the friendliest of people, and the other had been dead and only met jason for the first time here, but hey, they're all friends as far as jason's concerned. and he'd rather not go into all those complications anyway, not when it'd mean talking about luke's situation without his permission.] I'd say we're all handling it pretty well, though. This kind of stuff honestly isn't too far off from what we're already used to.

So there have been multiple cases of multiple abductions. Or lurings. Some of us weren't actually snatched away. That's my understanding, anyway. That those of us in the Seelie court were brought here at least somewhat willingly... ( She shakes off the ramble, before it gets worse. )

Us, either. Though it does get a little bit stranger, since magic seems to be a driving force instead of just a powerful bonus.

[Lydia. He has a curious bout of mixed feelings upon seeing her. On one hand, he still has at least six more pieces of information about Malia to wrangle out of her. On the other hand, he's in a different court and he has no bargaining chips. What better way to learn about banshees than from actual banshees themselves? He's an obsolete factor in her learning process, now.

This is easily the most disappointing day of his whole life. ]

The Unseelie are lacking in narcissistic teenagers and werewolves with self esteem issues. It has been a refreshing change of pace.

I wish I could be surprised that the Unseelie picked you. How's it feel to be on the opposite side of the fence with a shock collar?

Most, if not all, are traitors by default, but she hasn't determined if they'll remain such. And, regardless, she simply doesn't trust them. I've met two from Beacon Hills as well, Stiles Stilinksi and Isaac Lahey. [ and she likes them both well enough, odd though they are. Isaac, in particular, gained her favor when he found Jorah. ]

Well, I'm Lydia Martin, to add to your Beacon Hills list. So far, you've only met the good guys. Which is lucky for you, because if either of the factions pulled in some of our bad guys, we might have some trouble.

[ She's not quite sure if that's reassuring or not. The question, however, makes her consider something she hasn't yet: ]
