 [When Elincia appears, she looks a little bit...frazzled. Definitely out of sorts. The circlet on her forehead is missing and her armor doesn't seem to be quite complete]

Ah...I don't suppose anyone has seen a couple of healing staffs lying around, have they? I found this--

[She lifts a giant axe (something big enough and heavy looking enough to look like it should cause Elincia some trouble but she handles the weight well, all things considered) up to the locket and looks a little bemused. She knows who the axe belongs to at least. All the more reason to get traveling soon]

---in their place. As nice as this axe is, I don't think I'm going to find much use out of it.


If anyone finds my staffs, I will be waiting in the stables for their return. 


[She can't run off to travel without her staffs after all.


People can find healing staffs all over Caer Glaem. In trees, random suits of armor and so on AND MAYBE IN YOUR THINGS thanks Kow.]

That is very fortunate. It does feel like some game, with everyone as confused as they are right now.

Would the rulers play this game? It seems a little...petty.

[Surely the faeries would say something if it was because of their rulers' machinations.

She shakes her head]

Not yet. But several are helping me now.

Not them directly I do not think, but they allow it, certainly.

[ A slight bow ] Then I hope that you find what you seek swiftly.

I hope so too.

[A pause. Now that she's looking carefully]

Are you alright, S--Maglor?

[ Ah, is it that obvious? He manages a smile for her ]

I... will be well, Lady Elincia. [ Probably. Eventually. Perhaps. ]

There is no need to concern yourself with me.

[That was not a very convincing answer. Her worry only grows]

It is difficult not to worry a little.

[Especially when she hears an answer like that]

How does your cleg, milady?

My cleg?

[Well, she knows when to let things go so]

She's calmer now. But she still seems to dislike people outside of myself.

Ah, that is good to hear. Hopefully with time she will grow accustomed to more folk. Will she let you ride her, now?

I hope so. I don't want any unfortunate souls getting on the wrong side of her hooves just because they got close.

[She frets a little over the thought]

Oh yes, she does. She makes for a very pleasant flying companion, though more aggressive than the pegasus I was used to.

[ a lip quirks up in a small smile ]

Aye, that would be a pity. What is a pegasus Lady Elincia?

[She smiles in return and her thoughts drift back to home, her own pegasus and the people who rode beside her]

They look a little like clegs but their coats are always pure white. They tend to be smaller too and can't hold up as much weight.

They sound lovely beasts - we had none such in our world. It must be a comfort, to have a mount so similar!

They were very loyal companions.

[She laughs softly in agreement]

It is. I never much enjoyed being grounded when riding.

Tis a strange thing to me - I have long loved horses, but to take to the skies - ah, that would put a whole new meaning to haste.

Yes. There is no steed swifter than a pegasus, I find.

[Except maybe a dragon but you don't ride dragons]

[ ew no you kill dragons let him tell you stories... ]

Perhaps one day I will be able to see, Lady Elincia.

[But dragons are pretty cool! When...they're not stubbornly siding with crazy goddesses]

I hope you'll be able to experience it for yourself one day too.

[ not when they're creatures of darkness slaughtering your armies, brainwashing maidens, and/or stealing your treasure they aren't ]

Perhaps it might yet be fortunaye, but I do not trust to hope

Then perhaps you would like to meet my cleg when I reach the station.

[Assuming he was still there of course]

If I am here when you come, Lady Elincia, I would be honored. Alas Master Daud has vanished, and his cleg has been wild and unapproachable since - it grieves him, I think.

[That seemed alarmingly common here. She frowns over the thought of his cleg]

It must. The clegs become so attached when they are tamed.

Aye - Doctor House found the Cleg untended for, which is unlike him, and his room quiet. He does like his solitude, but he would never leave his Cleg so, certainly not while it is still wounded.

That is indeed troubling.

[Elincia's frown grows as she considers this]

...perhaps contact with another cleg will help calm it.
