[ She debated for a while whether it would be more prudent to put this to video or text, but ended up deciding on the former. Given the subject matter, it would make sense that she might need to be recognized. So here is a dark-haired young woman with a deep red cloak hanging at her shoulders, sitting by herself just outside of what is recognizably the main complex of the Station. The sun has been up for a little while, but the light peaking over the building and surrounding trees gives way to the early part of day. ]

Good morning. [ She smiles. ] My name is Asami Sato. I know there's a lot going on right now, to say the least, but I'm hoping that you can take a minute out of your day to listen to what I have to say.

[ She straightens, her shoulders leveling as her expression, though still warm, turns more serious. ]

We're all aware of how the Void is growing closer to the coasts, so I've recently taken up the task at trying to help those who may not have the resources to get out of harm's way in time. The edge of the Void is closing in on the lands of Leana and there are a number of villages that could be lost.

[ Anyone who has taken part or at least heard of Gilgamesh's attempt to save Leathann will be familiar with the situation. The Void is, of course, ever looming, and those at the coasts are just at the mouth. It doesn't seem a permanent solution to move anyone inland, but it seems worse to leave them to be gobbled up. ]

As honored as I am to take on this responsibility, I can't do this alone. I've been in the Drabwurld for a little over three months now, but there's still a lot to learn. If there's anyone out there who is familiar with the land on the southern end of the continent, I'd really like to meet or speak with you.

[ There's more, of course, because the sheer size of her intent covers multiple settlements. Asami exhales lightly through her nose, business face on. ]

I'll offer what I can in return for services or information. If anyone has the ability to lend themselves over to help escort civilians, recommendations or access to transportation of groups of people, or are willing to donate anything to the cause, I'll be in your debt.

[ She picks up a piece of parchment off to the side, the edge just barely caught by the live feed. ]

I'll be heading to the White Citadel in a day and then to Caer Glaem afterwards before turning towards Northern Leana. The end goal will be to start moving them north, hopefully eventually to Parrais. [ Asami sets the paper back down, turning her gaze back to the compass. She smiles again, looking a little hopeful. ] Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated. I know you'll be putting your faith into someone unknown, but I'd really like to help as many people as we can. This is their home, and sometimes losing that can make you feel like you've lost everything. Let's...make sure that doesn't happen.

[ She had been wondering how it would reconcile with the Seelie end goals, but she's come to the conclusion that if she's considered Seelie and this is what she feels is right, then the monarchs placed her in this court for a reason. It's taken a while to get to this point, but feeling that she might be able to make a difference for someone? It's...nice.

What he says is surprising from a strange, but it speaks to her and makes her smile. ]

...That's very kind of you to say. I was hoping people might also feel that this goes beyond the war.

[ Because to her, it does--this is about people, people who may not be able to make the choices they should without the right resources. ]

Your help is appreciated. Thank you. [ And she means it. ] I haven't seen you around before, but it's a big world. What's your name?

Some don't, which is definitely not making things easier to handle.

[ the void, the war, it's all a big mess with too many sides, too many opinions. much like back home, many tend to forget the bigger picture, the people stuck in the middle.

for now though, cloud appears pleased, if one can without smiling-- but he does nod, more than happy if his help will be used. ]

Cloud Strife. [ greener than green when it comes to all things drabwurld. ] I only arrived last month, and with the way things are around here, I've been running all over. [ partly for a quest, partly in war preparations, and partly just to see the world. ]

No, but I can't blame anyone. This is a war that's been going on a lot longer than we've been here.

[ Though she would like for there to be an option where everyone can work together towards a same end goal, at the moment, she's just going to concentrate on what is tangible and what she can do, which is help the people who maybe can't help themselves. ]

It's nice to meet you, Cloud. It's quite the time to arrive, isn't it? I've only been here for around three months myself, so I'm sure there's a lot we can still learn. I've never been this far south before.

[ she's right about that. as much as it would be nice to just pick and choose who to blame and where to pin all the problems, they haven't been here long enough to know the finer details. and nothing is ever as simple as it seems when it involves void-like entities and war. ]

I've only visited a few places myself. [ traveling takes a while even with the fairy rings available. ]

How much help do you have? I can ask a few people if they're free to lend a hand as well.

[ It does--even with the encroaching Void, the world around them is large and difficult to transverse without the right method of travel. ]

I have nearly ten people at the moment, but we can always use more. I'm not sure how many civilians are going to be coming with us or what they'll need to bring.

[ he looks thoughtful for a moment. ]

Probably going to want to bring a lot. [ so, he hopes she's ready to chew some people out in case civilians turn dumb. but from what he's seen of this announcement and her sure desire to help these people out, it will probably not be a problem. ]

But like I said, I'll help. I have some... experience with threats such as the Void and how it makes people act.

[ Asami probably wouldn't and won't be the best at that, considering how much she was used to having available for her at home. But after living in the Drabwurld, she's become more aware of the actual necessities. Not everyone needs all their hair care products. ]

Well, we can work with them about. [ Whatever that will involve. ]

Then I can really use some of that expertise. I've never dealt with something like this before.

...In a way I'm glad you haven't. [ of course, that doesn't change the fact that she is dealing with it now and the experience would be useful. but why wish the end of the world on anyone? ]

This shouldn't be something anyone has to deal with. Not us, not them.

[ if only, right. ]

[ There's a somewhat sad smile on her end, but it's still a smile. She can't say she disagrees at all. If it were within her power--likely his and everyone else's--they would avoid this all together. But for the ideals that Asami holds close, she's also a realistic. What's happening now must be dealt with. ]

No, but...we're here. So let's do whatever we can to help, yeah?

Yeah, you got it. [ they might have only just met, but she can count him to do his best with this. ]

...I can make it to Northern Leana-- or try to, while you're there. [ he has to check in with zack first, see what his friend is up to, and what kinda trouble he's probably busy inviting into his life. ]

[ Really, any help is wonderful, especially from someone who seems to be on the same page as her. Asami nods, her own smile brightening. ]
