[ She debated for a while whether it would be more prudent to put this to video or text, but ended up deciding on the former. Given the subject matter, it would make sense that she might need to be recognized. So here is a dark-haired young woman with a deep red cloak hanging at her shoulders, sitting by herself just outside of what is recognizably the main complex of the Station. The sun has been up for a little while, but the light peaking over the building and surrounding trees gives way to the early part of day. ]

Good morning. [ She smiles. ] My name is Asami Sato. I know there's a lot going on right now, to say the least, but I'm hoping that you can take a minute out of your day to listen to what I have to say.

[ She straightens, her shoulders leveling as her expression, though still warm, turns more serious. ]

We're all aware of how the Void is growing closer to the coasts, so I've recently taken up the task at trying to help those who may not have the resources to get out of harm's way in time. The edge of the Void is closing in on the lands of Leana and there are a number of villages that could be lost.

[ Anyone who has taken part or at least heard of Gilgamesh's attempt to save Leathann will be familiar with the situation. The Void is, of course, ever looming, and those at the coasts are just at the mouth. It doesn't seem a permanent solution to move anyone inland, but it seems worse to leave them to be gobbled up. ]

As honored as I am to take on this responsibility, I can't do this alone. I've been in the Drabwurld for a little over three months now, but there's still a lot to learn. If there's anyone out there who is familiar with the land on the southern end of the continent, I'd really like to meet or speak with you.

[ There's more, of course, because the sheer size of her intent covers multiple settlements. Asami exhales lightly through her nose, business face on. ]

I'll offer what I can in return for services or information. If anyone has the ability to lend themselves over to help escort civilians, recommendations or access to transportation of groups of people, or are willing to donate anything to the cause, I'll be in your debt.

[ She picks up a piece of parchment off to the side, the edge just barely caught by the live feed. ]

I'll be heading to the White Citadel in a day and then to Caer Glaem afterwards before turning towards Northern Leana. The end goal will be to start moving them north, hopefully eventually to Parrais. [ Asami sets the paper back down, turning her gaze back to the compass. She smiles again, looking a little hopeful. ] Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated. I know you'll be putting your faith into someone unknown, but I'd really like to help as many people as we can. This is their home, and sometimes losing that can make you feel like you've lost everything. Let's...make sure that doesn't happen.

[ She smiles a little sadly at that, but nods. ]

I know that the end may be inevitable, but it still doesn't seem right to just let them be lost like this.

Not officially. You're one of Korra's friends, right? I'm Dick. I, uh. I think you arrived when I did, three months ago? Remember how not too long after that, Korra was telling everyone about the court goals? I remember seeing you.

[ Yes, she does remember that, though she feels a little silly for not remembering him in turn. ]

Yes, yes I am. I do remember that. I'm sorry, I really should be remembering you--

[ Dick, hmmm... ]

...Wait. Do you know Hercules?

[dicktionary]

[ He laughs and waves it off, shrugging. There's no way he expects the same of other people, not when he only remembers and notices as many details as he does because of how he was trained. ]

It's cool I, uh. [ The question surprises him. ] Yeah, we're pretty good friends. [ Thinking back, he tries to remember if Asami and Hercules had spoken, but his memory of the other conversations going on is a bit fuzzy as he'd been focusing on his own at the time. Though, that'd she relate Dick's name to Herc's is interesting... ] Had he been telling stories?

[ There's a fond smile on her face as she nods in affirmation. She's always enjoyed her talks with Hercules--he has a way of grounding her and letting her feel hope again at the same time. ]

He has! [ Present tense. ] I really enjoy listening to his stories. I head about your adventure.

Adventure? The one in Leathann or the one with pirates? [ Dick grins at the thought of the latter; it'd been fun, a lot of fun and quite similar to what he got up to back home.

But then the way Asami speaks makes his brow furrow. He didn't even think to inform the friends Hercules has here, not other than Thor. ]

Oh man...

The pirates!

[ Who doesn't love a good pirate story? His are the kind that almost shouldn't be real, but they are. The fact that he's a great storyteller to boot doesn't hurt either. ]

It sounds like you two had fun. Though, it's been a while since I last talked to him.

[dicktionary]

[ That makes Dick laugh. The pirate adventure really would make a good story, especially if Hercules was the one telling it. His laughter trails off though, and Dick sighs. ]

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. [ His voice goes quiet. ] Herc's... Herc's gone.

[ That...that isn't something she expected. Even though she was aware that people do leave from time to time, somehow Hercules just felt like a permanent figure here, perhaps because he was one of the first people she met.

Her happy expression falters considerably, though she's holding it together. ]

He's...gone? [ She really hopes that's not true. ] ...How do you know?

[ She knows what that means. She remembers how Korra had some of her friends that had left. ]

...How long ago?

Just a week ago.

I see...

[ A part of her had been hoping he would want to help out with this--it seems like the kind of thing he would be wonderful at. Who wouldn't want to follow him? ]

Thank you for telling me.

[ She's--just not sure what else to say. It's a childish notion, but a part of her just kind of believed he'd always be there. ]

[ He knows how she feels; Hercules was much in the same place for Dick himself. ]

He'd have helped out if he could've, I bet. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner... I didn't know.

[ Asami shakes her head, her attention immediately shifting from her own grief to his apology. ]

Oh no--you couldn't have. I guess I just...I knew that people leave sometimes, I just never imagined it would be him.

[ She offers a smile. ]

But it's better hearing it from one of his friends. So thank you--really.

It's hard to imagine he'd be gone. I didn't believe it either, until...

[ He shakes himself, collecting his thoughts and schooling his expression. ]

Yeah. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. If you don't mind, though--unrelated to Herc--I'd like to help you out with your intent to save Leathann.

[ She will have the proper time to mourn his absence, but she can only hope that he is going on his adventures back home, instead. His life will never be dull. ]

I would really like that, thank you. I know you're an experienced adventurer, after all.

[ That makes him laugh quietly, shaking his head. ]

I'm experienced in the whole protect-and-escort thing, at least. Where should we rendezvous?
