[Isn't it funny how she and Lightning had been talking about different options and the war not that long ago? Isn't it funny how Xion had expressed the opinion that the whole thing was wrong, that sacrificing Seelie worlds seemed counterproductive considering they were trying to save them all? And now here the are, faced with that war, and how it was coming, and soon.
She'd been told more than once before now to think carefully, and if she's going to do that, if she isn't going to make the decision now... She needs to figure out what to do with herself in the meantime.]
We really... don't have a choice about all this, do we?
[It's an abrupt sort of question, probably, and one she wonders if she should really be asking aloud at all. But it starts out her post with a tone of reluctance, one that never really fades away.]
Nevermind. Sorry.
[Deep breath. It's been a day or so since the call went out, with Xion already conveniently back at Caer Scima. And she's been observant in those 24 hours, for all that it's helped.]
Almost everybody I've seen already seems to know what to do. Back home, I did missions and things all the time, but I only really had one job. And it's the one job that I can't do now.
[Can't because she refuses to. Sure she may have occasionally done other things, like recon, but her primary mission was always collecting hearts and fighting heartless, especially while Roxas was asleep. And now that she knows, fighting people, destroying their worlds isn't something she really wants any part of. Especially now that she has friends on the other side, ones that've helped her like Riku and Terra and Dick and Merida and Korra. But it's something she knows the monarchs would say she definitely should do. The thought is sickening.]
I don't really know what I'm doing here. Not... right now at least.
[Both in general and for this war effort. She hesitates for a long time then adds one last question.]
What can we do? For now, at least.
[She isn't so sure she wants to know what people think about her opinions on the whole war.]

It's true there's more to scouting than just looking at something. But it's my job to put it together, as long as I've the information; so you could still practice learning and help me either way, if you wished to do it.
[ She wants to ask more about who "they" would be, but she has to tuck that aside for now. ]
Truly, I think learning to heal would be just as useful if not more so, and I've no doubt you could learn it. Clarke—the midach—have you spoken with her about it?
video; private.
She looks down, some of her earlier distress fading as her face heats up a little. It's a good warmth though.
As the topic shifts though.]
Clarke?
[There's definite recognition there. She hadn't realized that Clarke would be the a good person to talk to about all this. Especially healing.]
I haven't, but I could.
[Pretty easily, at that.]
video; private.
If you decide to ask, you can tell her that teaching you healing magic can be her return favor to me, for her shard.

I should be okay, I think. I helped her recently get some information on some riots.
[Technically speaking Xion had already been repaid for that. But it still overall meant that they were on good terms. At least Xion thought they were.]
If it's okay for me to ask... what do you mean by her shard?
[There's a worried note in her voice. As far as Xion knows, the only thing that could be would involve losing ones shard, which only happened if someone left or died. Surely Clarke hadn't done either recently.]

[Xion hasn't heard all that much about... shards being able to do much of anything besides house the connection between oneself and their world. And the drabwurld.]

[ mostly katsa just doesn't like to think of it as anything but her own power. ]
no subject
Are there other things they can do? Like other powers?
[Honestly she half-wonders what sort of powers her own Shard might have, based on what Katsa is saying. And if they might be worthwhile to try and learn how to utilize, since the monarchs have taken so much of her own power away.]

[ ... ]
Would you like to learn sometime?

Not to mention it seems overall like a fitting sort of idea, to use the power of her own worlds to keep them safe. She nods, her eyes lighting up a bit, and definitely still curious.]
Yeah, I think so.

Then we'll fit it with our next training session.
no subject
Yeah.
[Speaking of which...]
Where do you want to meet next? For that and for the scouting?

Yeah, it will be for now, I think.
[She's got healing lessons she also needs to look into, after all. And sticking around Caer Scima for the time being will help with that.]
Thanks, Katsa.
[For all your help.]
