video ✨ unseelie
[ It's late in the evening, but there's still a bit of light in the background as Rin sits outdoors in the southern part of Aghmhor. No doubt she's been tending to her garden in an attempt to keep her mind off of certain things (or people, in this case), but some things need to be addressed. Holding up a familiar piece of parchment, she waves it a bit in front of the locket and addresses her fellow Shardbearers with an exasperated tone that matches her image. ]
Now this is a good example of how a Baron should handle their affairs though I do have to question the matter in which Baron Sterling Archer conducted his will. [ Why she's even wearing a sign that reads PRUDE right across it... only after she was cursed into doing so. A small minor detail that no one has to know. ] So listen up new Barons--because I know there's more than one of you--but inside of your stupid spires is a device I created. If you want to know how to use it to communicate privately with other spires, you can ask your fellow Barons or you can throw a nice gift my way for a brief lesson.
Just... no more liquor. [ Throwing the piece of paper over her shoulder, she turns the locket around to show crates of varying quality. Mostly good as he did have expensive tastes. ]
I work at a coffee shop, not a bar. What am I supposed to do with this again? [ Drink it all? There's no way that's happening. ]
I could share it with whoever could do me a favor. I have a lot of things that need doing should you alcoholics need a fix while sober.

video;
Give some of it to Lancelot, he'll make use of it.
[ She pauses, tilting her head to see what is, exactly behind her. ]
What is it that you needed help with, Miss Rin?

[ Naturally if Rin gets drunk, he might feel the effects of it through their spiritual pact regardless. Wouldn't that be odd? Being drunk without the taste of liquor on one's breath? ]
I'm interested in relocating a number of refugees and overall improving the points of interest in the Unseelie's trade route.

I see.
[ Suffice to say, as soon as she hears "refugees", she shifts in her seat. ]
I may be able to help, depending on the children. The last time I took them with me somewhere, I nearly had Aithne and Drest's fight spilling off the wagon.

With Treun struggling to accommodate the number of refugees that have started to flood in, there's only a matter of time before men grow desperate. I don't enjoy entertaining the thought of them harming women and children though they just might try in order to protect their own.

[ Ever so casually, she mentions. The way her expression shifts, something is not right, something is off. ]
Well, not by a normal man, anyway.
[ Alice fiddles with her locket before switching it over to a private setting. ]
Have you heard of someone called Dr. Jekyll?
no subject
Oh geez, what did he do now? [ This is something she's going to have to personally handle, isn't it? ]
Private;
I do not recall.
[ And that takes a great deal to admit to Rin of all people, someone she felt uncomfortable with, regarding her Master-Servant bond with Lancelot. ]
He threatened the children. Ah... he is a Berserker, too? That is his title, yes? Is there some sort of form or ability that a Berserker possesses? Then if so, he was that creature that attacked Aithne and I during the last night of the Dullahan rides. If so, then I fought him off, but the finer details of that are faded, at best.
Private;
In short, Mad Enhancement bolsters their abilities, but sacrifices a portion of their consciousness as well as their sanity.
[ It's very very difficult to keep one restrained. ] If he attacked you, then no doubt Lancelot will want to seek out revenge.
Re: Private;
When Lancelot and I first met, we fought alongside each other. It is not often that I am unnerved by another, but during that time, I will admit freely, yes, I was. That explains so much.
[ Revenge? But then that admits to thing Alice isn't really at all proud of, particularly something she barely remembers. Instead of focusing on an attack on her, she still focuses on her children. ]
I don't want that doctor back here. Aithne may have been fortunate enough to possess that golden arm, but that creature could have killed her.
[ Another uncomfortable pause as Alice opens her mouth to speak, only to hesitate- ]
I can hold my ground. There is something that was given to me that can protect me and why I don't actively recall what he meant by "trigger". But it involves my- Oh, how I do loathe this word ... shard.
[ Her mouth twists as if she's uttered a swear word. ] Which is something I have no real control over. Not since Reynard took me. Lancelot is free to do as he pleases, but I do not want him hurt on the account of me. Should that doctor come back here, I want to fight him off and that may be the way to do it.
Private;
It's impossible for Berserker to not come here any longer because he tends to the needs of her household. While she's not aware of some of the things he's done recently, she's a bit too wary to take a side in this. Understanding how dangerous a Berserker-class Servant can be and the recent knowledge regarding his split personalities, Rin's in a situation she finds difficult. ]
You do have a right to defend what is yours. [ She says carefully, tucking her hair behind her ears. ] Especially for the sake of the children. What will happen... if you lose? Fighting a Servant, even with your shard... it's a big risk.
Private;
But all she can think of is that incident in Treun with Reynard and Lancelot. ]
Then what do I do? Do I tell Lancelot of any of this? I don't want him hurt and I most certainly do not want that doctor back there.
[ She almost loses her composure that instant. Fortunately Rin isn't there to see her shaking. Sort of. The last thing she wants to do is cry. ]
I know I would barely stand a chance, but I, at least, want to fend for myself. Neither one of you will always be here.
