Hello everyone! I'm Yuzuriha Nekoi, fourteen years old, and right now I live in Tokyo, Japan! I've just arrived here, and I'm glad to meet everyone!

( don't falter! but she bites her lip. ) Um, I just had one question! I heard we're supposed to be 'helping in a battle,' but I don't know exactly how we're supposed to start? ( she also doesn't realise these questions can be filtered. or really that there's another group she's meant to be filtering from. yuzuriha frowns slightly, clasping her hands before her. after all, if she abandoned everyone for this place, she has to do her duty, right? ) Um… or… really, what to do in general… ( she trades a look with the wolf pup/empty space beside her, and then remembers that she's supposed to be making a good impression, not worrying. hurriedly: )

Perhaps you took some solemn spiritual vows at your temple?

Um… no, not really! I mean, it's only an old Shinto shrine.

Of course I'm not saying that I don't love it! My family has always looked after the shrine! But I'm not a miko or anything.

Is it not the somehow strange? To be living in a temple, as if it were a home?

[relieson]

Not at all! It's really pretty and peaceful. Even if there are a lot of chores.

… But I've never really lived anywhere else, so I guess I wouldn't really know the difference.

Was it much different from the castle in which you now reside?

[relieson]

It's completely different! Mitsumine's really, really old, so it's built pretty traditionally. Our house is traditional too. This place is like a fairy tale from overseas! You don't really see anything like it in Japan!

What about you? What's your house like?

Not so different from Caer Glaem. But in the mountains -- with seven slender towers.

Oh, that sounds so pretty! I bet the view is amazing! Mitsumine's kinda up in the forest, so you have to do some hiking if you want a view.

Is it quite far from other places? Remote, perhaps?

[relieson]

Kind of! There's a city at the bottom of the mountain, and we get a lot of tourists, but there's not much else around.

[steeledskin]

Beg pardon, but what are...tourists?

Huh?

They're people who come to visit just to see the temple.

[steeledskin]

Oh. So -- pilgrims. [ she decides. ]

Hm… ( she thinks about it. it's not like mitsumine is a huge religious site, but then again of course people do purify themselves and so on when they arrive. she's pretty sure they're visiting more because it's so old and historic than for real religious reasons, but… )

I guess they are!

It must afford you the opportunity to meet many interesting people.

It does, but it wasn't until I went to Tokyo that I met the really interesting ones.

Would you tell me about them? The interesting ones, I mean.

[ it's easier this way. asking about someone else rather than divulging about herself. ]

Well, um… ( she wonders vaguely why she wants to know. in second place, how much she's allowed to tell. )

There's Sorata-san; he's a monk. And Arashi-san, she's a priestess! Kamui-san is a year older than me, and he's — ( here she breaks off; 'chosen by god to lead the salvation of humanity' might count as a secret. ) — really great! And so nice! They're all really great friends. We've been living together! There's Subaru-san, who is the top spiritualist in the country, a proper onmyouji, and Karen-san, and Aoki-san…

( she trails off, unsure what else to say for the moment. )

It sounds as though you are surrounded by good and friendly souls.

I think so! I like them all a lot.

...And so, I'm sorry you must be here without them. Or have some followed you here?

Um, nope! I'm by myself, except for Inuki… ( she falters briefly, glancing at the wolf and remembering that alayne can't see him. )
