[ The feed opens with Hermione in the library - where else would she be? - in the Seelie court, a pile of books and papers around her. It's obvious she's been reading and taking notes, going deeper and deeper into as many of the shelves as she can (and the only place she hasn't been allowed access is the Restricted Area, which she is going to get permission for soon). After a moment of brushing her hair out of her face and forcing a slightly brighter smile she leans forward, into the 'camera'. ]

Hello, everyone. My name is Hermione Granger, for anyone I haven't met yet, and I was just wondering if you'd mind answering a few questions I have?

[ She pauses for a moment, grabbing a piece of paper with a list on it and smoothing it out. ]

I was wondering if you'd all be able to tell me about magic, or powers, or anything that might not be considered 'normal' to the average human or otherwise that exist in your worlds? Maybe magical creatures, too, or beings that you think do not transcend to other places that you've heard of. In my world, if it's alright to call them that, we have magic, magical creatures and humans, giants, werewolves, vampires... But a lot of worlds - or universes, I suppose - don't.

[ She smiles, almost sheepish, shy. ]

I hope this isn't too intrusive, I'm just curious and I'd love to learn more, if I'm able.

[ With a wry grin, and a bit of a rub at the stubble on his face- ]

Oh, no, it's no trouble at all! It's not that far away. [ And Hermione lifts up a piece of paper with a little handdrawn map on it that shows the way. ] It's got a rather large opening, with arched doors? It's hard to miss.

Right. Also, the more powerful your parent is, the stronger your ability to attract monsters. A child of Hecate, for example, would attract less attention than a child of Athena because Hecate is more 'minor.' On the flip side, a child of Athena will attract less monsters than a child of Poseidon. Poseidon is one of the Big Three, and they generally are the most powerful. It gets worse the older you get, too. Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter are the only safe places for demigods to get the training they need, if they're lucky to survive long enough to reach them.

[Hm, that sounds a little familiar.]

Like...equivalent exchange?

We do go to school for seven years. [ Hermione smiles. ] It's not easy and a lot of the lessons we learn aren't for everyone, but I loved every moment of it.

A school to learn magic?

I don't doubt it. She might be a little occupied with her sort-of boyfriend, though.

That sounds dangerous for the children. Are there people that find them and tell them about their powers? In my world the headmaster comes to muggleborn children - that is, children who were born to parents without magic - and explain things to them and take them to school. Is there something similar for you?

[ And, hey! Someone who actually listens to what she's saying unlike her two friends. ]

Exactly. You need enough of A to make B. There are even people who have trained hard and learned how to transform into an animal - that's called an Animagus.

"Sort-of boyfriend"?

May I ask why the inquiry...?

Similar, but there are still cases where it's too late for the child. For the Greeks, Camp Half-Blood, satyrs go out into the school systems to find demigod children and escort them to the camp. Camp Jupiter, however, you get taken by Lupa's wolves. You'd have to ask Jason Grace more about it. He's a son of Jupiter, and he knows that process better than I do.

[Nico likes listening and learning! He's just not like Hermione or Annabeth in terms of getting super technical.]

That's pretty cool. I know someone from my world can take the shape of any animal, as long as he knows what it is. I suspect that's not exactly the same thing.

Hello, Miss Hermione. [ He pretends to doff a hat at her. ] Haruto Souma.

[ He lifts his hand into the feed to show the large silver ring on his right middle finger, embossed with a black-and-gold hand. ]

Wizards in my world use magic rings to protect people called Gates from monsters we call Phantoms. Phantoms tend to draw off myth... but I don't know if the originals really exist. I'd guess Phantoms have always existed, but we don't know very much. The ones I've fought were created trying to power a Philosopher's Stone.

[ He's read her story - or, well, Harry's story, he supposes, but she's part of it. If she's really the real thing, anyway. He smiles. ]

There are other... monsters, apparently, space monsters called Zodiarts and creatures from another world they called 'Inves', but I don't really concern myself with them. There are other people I work with. [ Vaguely. They all protect their own sphere, anyway. ]

Oh. Well. That's good. I hope that works out for you.

[he won't insist on absolute optimism when he doesn't know the exact situation and mechanics and likeliness of that actually working, but still.]

There were pixies in my world. They were pretty different from the fairies you'll see here, and they're also not something that happens normally. I've only heard of two in the whole galaxy, and nobody back home would have ever believed me if I told them about them.

Ancient Runes?

Me too. But - enough of that. Are, um... Are there witches in your world? Anything like what I am?

I'm just curious, honestly. I like to learn.

It's... Complicated. Romance in the middle of a war really feasible.

Yes! It's called Hogwarts and people from my world go there when they're eleven to be taught.

Oh, um, it's the study of the language of magic, in a way, the ancient scriptures? It's a very old language and so we learn how to read and translate it.

I hope so - I don't mind helping protect people from the creatures, but... The others? I don't want to be part of another war.

That's so wonderful! It must have been a lot of fun! I just go to a regular middle school.

I'll definitely ask him about it, then. I suppose you get taught about your powers and heritage in your respective camps? It's what happens at Hogwarts - we have lessons on the History of Magic as well on how we can use and control it.

[ She shakes her head, looking pensive. ]

No, an Animagus can only turn into one animal - the animal they become is supposedly a reflection of who they are as a person.

It's nice to meet you, Haruto.

[ She leans in to get a better look at the ring, but the thing that really catches her attention is the reference to a Philosopher's Stone. Her eyes flicker back up and she tilts her head. ]

I don't suppose it's the same kind of stone as I know? In my world the Philosopher's Stone was known to be able to give eternal life and turn any metal into gold.

[ She does look curious about these monsters, though, especially if they're from space. It's... Completely different from anything she knows. ]

That sounds beyond imagination, really. If I wasn't here I'd probably say it was ridiculous.

They weren't small and blue, by any chance, were they? That's what Cornish Pixies are like in my world.

It was a lot of fun - all the lessons were fascinating. I still need to go back and finish my final year, though.
