[ The audio feed begins with the sound of a muted tapping. ]

Is this on?

[ He taps it again, and a young man with spiky, black hair appears. He's peering...much too closely at his locket, but eventually he leans back, the scar on his left cheek becoming visible. For those familiar with the area, the training grounds in Caer Glaem are behind him.

Satisfied that it's on, he smiles a bit. ]

Hi. [ Awkwardly, he scratches the back of his head. ] I'm sure it's pretty obvious to those of you who've been here a while that I'm new.

I've already gotten a few different versions of what's going on here so I think I should be good in that respect.

[ Oh Zack, you sweet summer child. Moving right alone, though, he has other things to say. ]

Since it's a war we're here to fight, I'd like to know if there's anyone around who'd like to spar sometime - hand-to-hand or with weapons.

Also, if there are any places you'd recommend visiting, I'd like to know!

[ A large black head nudges him roughly, and after a soft "hey!" Zack turns briefly to pet his horse's face. A large sword becoming visible, hanging on his back before he looks back at the locket. He flashes a small, sheepish smile. ]

Any tips on riding horses would be good, too. Thanks.

I've never heard of Materia. Most of our magic comes from abilities we learn, but my best friend could probably explain it better.

[Nonetheless, that's good to know about asking the monarchs for things, he supposes.]

I wonder if that means I can get my glider back...

[ Zack smiles a bit. ]

I'd have to show you to really explain it. [ Materia - the crystallized essence of the Planet's lifeblood. ] You should introduce us sometime.

[ It is a very useful tip! Aside from at least one of his Summon, Zack isn't really sure what he'd ask for, though. He doesn't want for much. ]

Your glider?

I should, she's the magic expert between us. I'm sure she'd love to learn about your Materia.

[Come to think of it, if she'd been to the same worlds he had, does that mean she met the younger Zack? He'd have to give Aqua a heads up before he put them in the same space. He doesn't know what he'd ask for aside form some personal items. Maybe the Master's Keyblade.]

What we use to travel between worlds. My keyblade can transform into it but it seems to have lost most of its abilities, turning into my glider is one of them.

[ Set them up, Terra. This sounds like a very enlightening sort of meeting. c:

That last bit startles him a little. ]

You travel between worlds? Like space travel?

[Okay, but you're not dating his sister figure, Fair >| He hums a bit at the question, rubbing his chin.]

Kind of. We travel the Lanes Between to other worlds rather than through space itself. They were locked until my Master sent us on a mission to purge the Unversed.

[ Wow, it's just an expression!! He has a girlfriend!

Also, that explanation, Terra...he's not sure what to make of it exactly. ]

...so it's magic, then?

[ It sounds like it anyway. ]

What are Unversed?

...Sure, we'll go with magic.

[It was better than explaining things anyway. As for Unversed...now that he thought about it, there was something connected between them and the Darkness in his heart.]

They're monsters that feed off of negative emotions. Come in all shapes and sizes. I haven't seen any here in the castle, but keyblades are the only weapon that can get rid of them.

[ Smart move, Terra. There would be no end to the questions, otherwise.

Zack hums thoughtfully. ]

And you have one of these 'keyblades', yeah?

[ He assumes so from the way Terra talks. ]

You'll have to show me sometime.

You'll see it during our sparring match. It's how I fight.

[He also had to get used to using it without the extras so sparring would be a good way to do it. Though there is a slight smirk on his face when he says that, which indicates he's confident. He's seen the way Zack fights once; even if that might be a different and younger version of him it might give him an advantage.]

[ Whoa-ho, is that a challenge, friend?

Zack smirks a little bit. ]

Well, you know where to find me.

I'll be here all day.

[Well some things haven't changed.]

You been to the training grounds yet? Meet me there.

[ He is still Zack Fair, friend! Just older and from...somewhere else. ]
