[Video | Seelie Locked] Rule 2

[Joshua appears to be out in the courtyard. As always, he's relaxed and casual. However, he also seems thoughtful.]

A calm before the storm.

[It seems like he doesn't realize he's said this aloud, as he moves on without further comment.]

Well, since it seems to be of greater necessity now than over the past year, I've given some thought as to alternate weapons I could use. I've been able to narrow it down to magic and archery. [His smile is almost sardonic.] I'm afraid I don't have many, or any, of the qualities necessary for pursuit in close combat weapons. On that note, I also wouldn't object to learning how to more effectively utilize my shard, especially since recent events indicate that we may have more of a need to learn.

[Joshua has an avid interest in keeping himself alive, thank you very much. He's also not stupid enough to think that he'll be safe from combat situations.]

Oh, and before I forget! I have one, teensy little thing I'd like to know. I love fiction books as much as the next person, and I have something of a passion for history. I'd like to take some recommendations on what are good books to read. With luck, I can see about reading them in Caer Glaem's impressive library.

[...Yeah, because history books are totally considered "light reading," Joshua.]

Alternatively, I also like to hear about the latest gossip.

[He gives a little wave before signing off.]

Well, I can help with the archery. If you still need someone. As for shard training I learned from Lancelot. I assume he's still holding lessons, if you need someone to help with that, he's probably happy to help if you ask.

[As for the library, she's still slowly combing through it herself. So she can't say much in the way of recommendations there but this is at least something of a start to try help.]

Of course. Just let me know where and when and I can meet you for archery. I'm not sure if I'd be one to offer help with the shard either, I've never taught anyone myself, exactly. But if you really have trouble on that. I might consider.

[Consider. But then, chances are there are those more familiar with the shards that have been here longer and could be of more help where that is concerned. At least, she figures and hopes so.]

Sure. Just let me know when and where to meet.I have Leopold - a ceffyl dwr, so I can get around pretty quickly thanks to that. Distance shouldn't be an issue.

Joshua. It's nice to meet you. I'm Snow.

Sure. I'll be there.

[Yeah. Lets. Not go that far. Even if both of them have actually killed before. Though there is a slight eyebrow raise and small smile at that.]

Of course. I admit I've not actually really taught with the shards before but I'll do my best if necessary. Archery I am more familiar with at least.

Of course. That sounds fine to me. Archery could be easier to start with anyway. Then later if you need me to help with the shard we can work up to that. Though for that we might need enchanted weapons. Activating the shard does make us a lot stronger, so we would be prone to damaging normal weapons.

[Something to sort out later, in any case. Letting him know even if he might find someone else. Better he be aware of that now than later.]

Depends on the weapon? I know the dwarves and their forging can enchant weapons. But then I'm not sure they exactly allow visitors. I was told and taught this from Lancelot so perhaps he would know some recommendations. I myself favor a bow but I know swords seem the more traditional and preferred weapon for the most part.
