Out of curiosity, has anyone else been looking into places to live outside of the court/as a second residence? The chaos of the past few weeks suggests that having a place to retreat in the aftermath may not be the worst idea out there.

I ask primarily to see if anyone else has begun the process and has advice on how to go about it.

Honestly, I'm curious as to what your whole experience ends up being when the construction's done. Would you be willing to consider a commission, if the process goes smoothly for yourself?

Oh, absolutely.

[ She's hardly going to be getting a great deal of battleground spoils, and while she has 'command' of the team, she wants to pay them for their service. Commissions will help both herself and them. ]

Are you thinking of anything specific?

At the moment, nothing beyond "not conspicuous." Hardly a useful descriptor and it practically begs for an architectural survey of what's around here.

[Waver's always glad to pay people who know what they're doing, although it occurs to him that currency might end up being an issue. Mostly since it doesn't seem to be used here.]

I certainly wouldn't mind doing an architectural survey.

Well if you're okay with it, then I guess the question becomes funding. (As I'm loathe to make anyone work for free.)

I suppose that's a fair trade.

It is, and adjustments could be made in the future.

Have you been able to find suitable replacements for your usual chemistry set?

[gordianknots]

I've gotten some glass containers that seems suitable, and managed to construct a few frames for holding things over contained fires, but getting to actual chemicals is now the fun part.

I definitely will. Honestly, asking for a large supply of chemicals that I don't need to distill might be a good use of those favours occasionally supplied.

I would think so. I've already run out of ideas for things to ask for.

Hm. Transportation to somewhere, maybe?

There's a massive library outside either faction, in the northwest, apparently.

Like those fairy rings?

We should find a way to get there.

Precisely so.

Hm. Boon request might be the quickest way there.

We would need a way back, though.

Perhaps a way to make our own fairy rings?

Those might be worth learning to make period.

Although the other option would be to be very specific with the boon and include a mandatory "I also need a ring to get back." Precise wording and all that.

And no time limits, on top of that.

Definitely no time limits. Not that I think being stuck in a massive library would be a terrible thing, but I'm biased.
