Out of curiosity, has anyone else been looking into places to live outside of the court/as a second residence? The chaos of the past few weeks suggests that having a place to retreat in the aftermath may not be the worst idea out there.

I ask primarily to see if anyone else has begun the process and has advice on how to go about it.

Indeed. How fare your plans to parley with the Seelie shardholders? There is a woman there I have great interest in meeting.

Putting it on hold for now, since I don't think that the present is an ideal time for meeting, what after that nonsense with the bear etc.

A pity. Perhaps I shall have to make private arrangements instead.

I'm afraid so, and I do apologise for the inconvenience. I wasn't expecting to have to re-think my approach, but. Well, these things happen.

[A house would offer a safe meeting point, and Waver's not keen to do anything until he's made all modifications to VH. Having the mercury's attack mode disabled threw off a few other things with it's system, and that was a massive priority.]

So they do. I will inform you if I find appropriate land for fortification. I hope you will do the same, should you make new plans.

I will, although I am aiming to keep fairly close to the castle due to library access. I expect you're heading out much further.

That I am, but distance is an issue only for my followers, not for myself.

Safe houses along the way for them might also be something to consider.

Indeed. The maps we are provided are scant on the details of villages and inns along the way. Before I depart, I shall see if I might find a cartographer to join me.

Best of luck finding one, then. You may have to simply keep a travel log with you, if all else fails.
