[The locket seems to be left on while on top of a desk. Papers encompass most of the shot, but there's a particular one with the seal of an eagle with wheat and arrows in its talons for those who don't know it's the crest of the Fortuna family in Treun. Lucrezia comes into the shot, sweeping in all dressed up, and hands another letter to two guards.]
Please tell your master I am grateful for his offer. [She fixes the ring on her finger, the one with the same crest as the ring. She smiles, proud of herself before she lets the men go and moves to grab the locket. It doesn't seem to phase her that it's on, but she still has that same satisfied grin.]
I suppose I should announce it then. My true name here is now Lucrezia Borgia of the Fortuna family. [Because Borgia still means something to her, as strange as having a family and being adopted is. Having no one but herself for nearly a year, she's climbed up from nothing to having a name here. She hasn't and will not forget Borgia, but being a Fortuna means something here.]
I wonder how many of my family members are shardbarers. [It's offhanded and said with a slight hum, more proud at herself than anything. She switches off the feed then.]

[That is a really failed logic to him. Shardbearers and and those that might face very different situations in the future, and while one can claim that family on the outside of a situation is helpful because they can help better, he has made the experience that such help will simply not be granted. So this seems like a very silly thing to do to him.]

[The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference, and all that. It's not so much a problem with his sisters, but looking at some other people...]

It is not that one cannot be cruel or unkind, but that there is first an obligation to family.
no subject
[And that is a very real concern in this world. Conflicting obligations can become bad things happening quickly in a world where political entities are in relatively close proximity and war is always close by.]

[Regardless of how damaging their 'obligations' are to members of their family.]

[He just has people using others who were weak too often before. Which is why he wants to become strong so he can have friends.]

[Because he is curious about all the places, but he's also still not sure where to stay would truly be safe for both himself and his "father".]

[Which ...makes a visit possible. And Maglor will have places to sing at.]

Back from hiatus, just finishing this up.
[Getting Maglor around people is always worth it, and someone making arrangements for them might mean that he'll even get to talk to people outside of singing for them.]

We seem to be in the minority then. Or at least they speak of him like he is more ghost than being.

[ What with the tentacles. ]

I am sorry for your loss.

[ And now a vampire, but John hadn't exactly known that at the time. ]
Thank you. I hadn't heard about the governor's sisters, so... [ insert awkward gesture that basically means 'the same' here. ]

[Though should Juan suddenly parish, she will not shed a tear.]

[ He would not do well if she died. ]

I could not imagine a life without my parents. My condolences. [Though they have certainly made things difficult-- her father more than her mother, that does not mean she would wish that sort of thing on them.]
video;
[ A sigh. ]
It was a long time ago. But thanks.

You then know the importance of family. I have been without mine for too long here. And yet, I would hope they are proud of me.
Video.
Video.
--Cesare! [Lucrezia blurts out, holding onto the locket in hopes that he'll return.]
Video.
Lucrezia. Where are you, Sis?
Video.
Treun, to the very south. And you? Have you come back again or have I been remiss in checking the newly arrived? [Though she was in Caer Glaem during the feast, she does not think him to be in Seelie countenance.]
Video
[It's only kind of a joke. Congrats on being related to a tentacle monster, Lucrezia.]

[You know, war, Seelie territory, that sort of thing.]
Video
War is a troublesome thing.
Video
[She seemed intelligent enough, but not really suited for war at all.]
