God damn, but this place makes me feel old sometimes. I'm in my thirties and here we all get triple the lifespan -- I'm way too young for this. Don't know how you elves and other long-lived people do it.

[ Granted, with his enhancements, John may very well be long-lived even without the lifespan boost of the Drabwurld... but that's not the point. ]

Of course, this could be part of what happens when you join the military at seventeen and see several lifetimes of war stretch out in front of you. Not that I assume the life expectancy for most shardbearers is that high...

[ And he's being morbid. He grimaces- and then swears again. ]

...Mongolia is very big. [Really, if he should be exact, he would have to describe himself as a part of Tartar's place, but he likes to think of himself as west of Mongolia instead, because ...there is nobody here to stop him from calling himself independent. No consequences.]

It is, yeah. In a lot of parts, anyway. It's pretty big, so there are mountains and deserts and beaches and forests -- just depends on where you are.

[At least if his sisters are any indication of how sisters are - his certainly have very strange and kind of scary moments, and he doubts that that will get less. Not that he loves them any less for it. They just have ...odd moments. He still isn't sure how showing someone your chest is supposed to solve problems, no matter how often his older sister says that.]
