[So, now seems as good a time as any (or a better time than most) to remind people that there are other options. They've been called to fight, to kill and die, but they would not be the first to cast off the endless war of the greater courts. Such progenitors scatter through the land, it seems, old and entrenched in society but with shards of their own all the same, and ties to the Kings and Queens that only become clear when pulled. (Confusingly enough, the native peoples have even adopted one such shard-bearing defector as their anti-shard-bearer mascot. Jon has long since abandoned the exhaustive habit of questioning the logic of anything in this land of fairies.)

Still, this is his first time addressing the Network at large (intentionally, let us not speak of any accidental star-theft related visions) despite being around for just over half a year, now. It's... oddly unnerving, but he puts great pains into keeping his expression stony. Indeed, he presents the locket with a very serious, rather dour look that gives the impression he'd be a huge stick in the mud, and then he clears his throat.]

If there are any who do not wish to take part in this war - who cannot fight, or who will not, the Cothromach takes no part and would house you for however long you might think it necessary. [Straightforward and to the point. Jon's not great at rousing speeches, really, he just says what he has to say.] Other places have been offered, and they are good as well, held by good people. [Sup Mally!] Only know that you have options. [You know, in case those wacky Queens are telling you to take up arms against your literal brother or something crazy like that.]

[Oh!! It would probably be... strange, to admit to recognizing her, so Jon doesn't.]

A Beast Healer? [Any title with the word healer in it sounds like it would be more than useful, of course. He looks to the herbs and such. Maybe it's akin to a woods witch?] What does that entail, if I may ask?

What it sounds like, for the most part. We are gifted with magic that allows us to heal the hurts of any beast, wild or tame, and we also learn how to heal with herbs and other means.

[She turns the locket so it shows Kiga, who is nosing through herbs, and it seems, sorting them into piles.]

It also means my brother-in-fur will be with me, and I know some feel nervous around wild creatures such as woods dogs.

[Jon actually smiles for that: anyone who might be able to give some aid or comfort to the direwolves that keep his family safe is a perfect fit, in his book. He turns his own locket to Ghost who sits in front of the fire. The huge direwolf's pure white fur is cast in dancing oranges and yellows from the flames, and he yawns at them for their troubles.]

They have grown accustomed to the place being rather overrun by wolves, here, so it should take little adjustment. We would be honored to have you and your 'brother-in-fur' in the Cothromach.

Oh, he is handsome!

[She bows a little, and Kiga comes over at a click of her tongue.]

[Her name translates with the rest of her words, and she doesn't seem to find it odd in the least, even though Kiga's doesn't. The wolverine nods his head too, looking intently at the locket.]

Well met. I am Jon Snow, Captain of Cothromach's guard. [He does that little bow back! Ghost would as well, but he's being lazy on his napping rug, so Jon gives half of an apologetic smile instead.] Your journey need not be an arduous one, Lady Pod: there is a fairy-ring within the Cothromach that any Seelie shard-bearer may use.

Well met, Captian. And, there is? That will certainly shorten my travel! Of all the wonders here, the rings are perhaps the most convenient, shortening weeks to merely days of travel.

I think I may take advantage of the library here for a little longer then. I've been offered lessons to improve my craft, and would do well to learn what I can.
