Phew...the throne room sure is a nerve-racking place, huh? I thought I was gonna have a heart attack or something...
Anyway, I had a little talk with the king...reul? He's got a really interesting name, I almost thought he was gonna be someone else. I wanted to know what they were actually fighting for here...but, uh, he's really intense, it was so hard to focus. He said something about a true end, and the seelie have something to do with it? I've been thinking about it since then this whole time...
[And pretending to be an easily intimidated teenager sure is a handy excuse to not mention anything else she was told.]
So I was wondering, anyone know what the deal with that is? Has anyone asked the Seelie monarchs something like that? I'd be interested in hearing what they have to say, especially their involvement with something so sinister sounding.
I guess I just don't wanna end up helping the bad guys by mistake.
[Not that she genuinely believes life's so easily divided into black and white, but she'll get some amusement out of it if someone tries giving the whole "good and evil are subjective" lecture to her of all people.]

Not that I agree with his viewpoint though - the Seelie are looking to bring about the natural end of things, I just don't know anything about them! They could be faking it for all we know.

Do you mean the end of the world?

End of the world? The universe? Everything?
And is it a natural end, from which something new can grow, or is it a decisive end with no return? I don't have an answer for any of those details...and they're the most important ones.

[ it sounds kind of iffy to katherine. why would either side want to end the world? don't both sides often have the same goal, but incredibly differing tactics? it's how it'd been with the klaus problem — she was content to throw everyone under the bus while team scooby wished to preserve life and blah blah blah. honestly, they excelled at being boring. ]
[ katherine frowns. ] We shouldn't be surprised. High-King Reul apparently likes to talk, but not enough.

[It reminded her of God a bit honestly. Yelling about smiting didn't work these days, so she wonders why these people haven't modernized their pitch at all. That's what she'd done. Maybe it's why she wins so much.]
Would you work towards preventing the end?

[ the answer is easy: katherine survives. if the world is to end, it negates all she has worked so tirelessly for for the last five hundred years. why wish for the end of the world when ridding it of the black void that sucks almost everything good within it will achieve the same end, but with better results? ]
I don't wish for the world to cease being. Why fight if we're going to die?

When a world ends, it's usually to make way for a new one. [9/10 times anyway. Sometimes it just stays gone.] Everything on it might die, but only to make room for what comes next.
It's all a part of the great cycle. Halting that harms the universe.
