Phew...the throne room sure is a nerve-racking place, huh? I thought I was gonna have a heart attack or something...
Anyway, I had a little talk with the king...reul? He's got a really interesting name, I almost thought he was gonna be someone else. I wanted to know what they were actually fighting for here...but, uh, he's really intense, it was so hard to focus. He said something about a true end, and the seelie have something to do with it? I've been thinking about it since then this whole time...
[And pretending to be an easily intimidated teenager sure is a handy excuse to not mention anything else she was told.]
So I was wondering, anyone know what the deal with that is? Has anyone asked the Seelie monarchs something like that? I'd be interested in hearing what they have to say, especially their involvement with something so sinister sounding.
I guess I just don't wanna end up helping the bad guys by mistake.
[Not that she genuinely believes life's so easily divided into black and white, but she'll get some amusement out of it if someone tries giving the whole "good and evil are subjective" lecture to her of all people.]

[Check out that look of intense concentration.]
Let me think...
Something about a morning star...ending oppression...he smack talked order a lot, but I don't know if he meant Seelie or that in general? Then there was a bunch of threats about leaving if anyone didn't want to help him out, otherwise there'd be trouble, but the way he said it was way more intimidating. He actually seems like a pretty poetic guy!
Mostly just, like I said, halting the true end and preserving everything.
[A beat.]
...I might be paraphrasing a bit.
["""A bit"""]

A morning star?
[Already being biased toward associating 'Unseelie' with 'evil', as much as he knows he shouldn't, yet it is everything he would normally consider to be evil, such a suspicious phrase is quick to draw a conclusion.]
As in Lucifer?
no subject
[She pauses, briefly, then sounds like she's come to a realization of sorts.]
Ah, you wouldn't know, I guess. His name, Reul na Maidine? It's morningstar in gaelic. That's what I meant when I said I thought he was going to be someone else.
Now, whether or not the guy has any relation to Lucifer or not, that I can't say.
["Hêlêl ben Sāḥar. Morning star, son of the Dawn. Fragment of Me."
Whether or not he really knows more about that than he was letting on, or the King was just trying to win her over by saying that...she can't say. That's one of the things that bothers her.
But she hadn't paid it any mind. She was the morningstar. God never acknowledged her as anything but a fragment of Him that ""lost it's way"", not something less than that. This Reul guy clearly just thought too much of himself, acting like the Devil was just some part of him. Get real.]

On the other hand, he has sworn to protect and help people, even if that means becoming a monster. Maybe Jekyll really is a devil himself. Deep in thought, he brings a hand to his mouth, looking as if he might be sick, or maybe about to cry. But eventually he has to speak. Yet there is still a deep panic in his voice.]
Did he...did he say anything particularly on the subject? It may simply be a meaning, certainly such a phrase should normally be taken as rather a good thing! Or even was, in the beginning!
no subject
[That part being the first thing she has lied about, with regards to her audience with Reul. After that, she pauses yet again, as if she's in thought.]
I think you're overreacting though. So what if he does have any relation to the guy?
[Meaning "please continue I want to hear just how far your fear of anything remotely luciferian goes."]

[He bites his lip hard, feeling that familiar sinking in his stomach, and pain in his head. The loss of breath that comes with the deep terror he feels for it, as something rises in his chest that he must hold back. Berserker looks away, closes his eyes only to blink, and when he opens them again, they're red. Still he doesn't look directly at Hikaru anymore, in some attempt to hide the change.]
He seems interesting. I wish I'd had the chance to speak with him. I apologise for my reaction, it's simply surprise, I'd not expected such connections. It would be quite something.
no subject
Of course, she doesn’t acknowledge it. Best to keep Berserker thinking that she hasn’t noticed.]
Something? Ahah…a minute ago it sounded like you were almost worried. What, you’re actually interested?
no subject
Yes, how could it not be interesting? Ah, I guess in some ways it's a bit frightening no matter what, really, but even so. You will keep me in the loop on that subject, won't you?
[While Jekyll would rather not know, it's up to Hyde to be sure he does. If he's essentially working for Satan, it would be hilariously distressing for the other, exciting for himself.]

[He offers the sort of smile Jekyll would, to not be so suspicious.]

Especially when dealing with a lady.
no subject
[Ahem.]
Hello sir! Who am I talking to now?
no subject
That remains unchanged, Berserker.
[It isn't a lie, but of course not what was meant.]
Did you think you would get a name?
no subject
Hah! You caught me. Guess I'll need to try harder if I'm going to outsmart you two.
That's a little confusing though...should I assign you numbers? That'd make you Berserker 2. Maybe twoserker. He can be oneserker.
no subject
There is no need to make distinctions. We are one in the same, despite anything my other half might say.
[Really, don't, the numbers sound stupid, he'd rather give his real name than listen to that.]
Now you've changed the topic.
no subject
I'll keep you in the loop like you asked, but I can't promise anything soon. I doubt this one instance makes the King and I best friends or something.
You might be out of luck hoping to meet him anyway. People seem surprised he did speak with me, so apparently he's very careful about the company he keeps.

[Like being the devil.]

[She laughs though, sounding amused.]
It's not been all that long, but...you're way more interesting than the other guy, you know that? That mysterious edge of yours, I just don't know how a girl like me is supposed to resist it.
Could you tell me more? Why you feel that way?
no subject
Of course. That man is boring in every way, and what's more, a hypocrite. That is the reason for which I feel this way, everything he denies should be increased tenfold in me, until I cannot be denied. There is nothing worse than those who put on airs or masks, hide their true thoughts and interests for the sake of appearances, and call it morality or goodness. I would imagine one such as Lucifer would be just the opposite. Someone therefore far more admirable.
