video, open to both courts

Phew...the throne room sure is a nerve-racking place, huh? I thought I was gonna have a heart attack or something...

Anyway, I had a little talk with the king...reul? He's got a really interesting name, I almost thought he was gonna be someone else. I wanted to know what they were actually fighting for here...but, uh, he's really intense, it was so hard to focus. He said something about a true end, and the seelie have something to do with it? I've been thinking about it since then this whole time...

[And pretending to be an easily intimidated teenager sure is a handy excuse to not mention anything else she was told.]

So I was wondering, anyone know what the deal with that is? Has anyone asked the Seelie monarchs something like that? I'd be interested in hearing what they have to say, especially their involvement with something so sinister sounding.

I guess I just don't wanna end up helping the bad guys by mistake.

[Not that she genuinely believes life's so easily divided into black and white, but she'll get some amusement out of it if someone tries giving the whole "good and evil are subjective" lecture to her of all people.]

The Seelie bringing about the 'true end'? First I've heard of it. But then I am a newer arrival, I suppose. Perhaps someone else in Seelie that has been around longer might have more answers if they had a chance to ask about that? Though I can't say I've met the monarchs in person myself in the throne room.

[Then again, it might not be so bad. Snow is just used to the term monarchs referring to her parents. Or Regina, who she is coming to get closer to in spite of their past.]

I must have missed if they were or are having audiences, but then I've traveled a bit since I got here so that's probably not too surprising. Still, I guess we wouldn't know unless we asked. Could be interesting to see what those who have been here longer say in answer to this. I wouldn't mind details on this, if you do get anyone replying and explaining it.

[A pause as she considers for a moment.]

Of course, that is if you aren't bound to keeping it a secret, how publicly available such information might be.

Okay then. I'm just as new so I'm not sure how much might be more restricted information and the like yet.

But of course I imagine stories from the Unseelie side are just as biased in their own way. That can't be helped, anyone recording history will be influenced by their own opinions and interpretations on what happened and why.

And that would be too convenient and simple. Nothing is that easy, unfortunately.

[There's a pause as Snow considers for a moment on that question.]

I think this is probably more complex than I'd like, that I'm not sure if this is something we can talk our way through. Even if I'd like to hope that we can get through this without bloodshed. This has obviously got a long history, this war and fighting. I just know I have at least one of my family in the Unseelie I'd rather not start a war against a second time. But I will do what I can to help, even if that might initially only be to assist those to safety that don't want to get involved in the fighting.

I'd probably be more inclined to get involved if I wasn't worrying about family on the opposing side, perhaps. Though not everyone here is restricted by that, I suppose so their decision might be clearer in that respect. It's not that I can't fight, or that I absolutely refuse to. I just rather not go down that road against my step mother again when we've made such progress since then.

[No longer was Regina trying to poison, curse or kill her. It took a long time and a lot of work to get to this point. Snow is damned if she would let it all break down so easily at the whims of any strange monarch.]

Of course I have. Neither of us want to go back to that. The fighting and curses, that hate. We've come too far to instantly go back to all that without a good reason. I'll defend those that need help, but I won't go up against Regina again. She may not necessarily outright say it but I know she's come to care for me in her own way through everything.

She does. Even if she might not be quite so...direct in saying so as I am. But if we were to get involved, if one of us were to fight and hurt the other's friends in all of this, that could make things worse. We've both had enough loss at each other's hand. I'm just not sure how to go about dealing with this, having her here if they expect me to fight against the Unseelie. Just because they tell us to.
