Ridiculous that those already holding power are given the privilege of training to the highest levels of their skills, but those most in need of it are left to rely on the protection of others.

They're only children. They've done nothing, have no choice in the matter, and men do it because it's easy.

Is it to show off their power? To pretend they're more than they are by bullying children?

For the ones who target those vulnerable specifically to make them suffer, or think their pleasure outweighs their suffering, yes. Men, mankind - [That's maybe not the best word used here.] Men, women, children, whatever they choose to call themselves, are not commodities. But the world operates by commerce - [as Bonnaire had once said] - and finds ways to treat them as such, whether through something as outright as purchase, or balancing what they have and deciding it's in their interests to hold onto that than expend and lessen someone else's misery. It's easy for people to turn away.

That's why I enjoy what I do. Our King is - decent. He's not a cruel man and he came to the throne young. [That's him really nicely trying to say inexperienced.] There's room to do good work.

Even one decent king can be enough to start a change. It might be slow, but I've seen hope it can happen.

The others, the corrupt kind, treating people as commerce as you called it—they should be stripped of everything but their lives.
