Kings and queens already have all the power focused on them well enough. Seems there's not much left to do but find others with their own sorts of power in order to undermine them, if necessary.

Not necessarily against, depending on how it goes. But at least to mitigate. Even the monarchs with the best intentions still have power because others lack it It's inherently unfair system.
