Ridiculous that those already holding power are given the privilege of training to the highest levels of their skills, but those most in need of it are left to rely on the protection of others.

It does, doesn't it? Though, we try to make sure that power doesn't end up too focused on one person or house. At least in government. So we must believe it is true in some capacity.

Kings and queens already have all the power focused on them well enough. Seems there's not much left to do but find others with their own sorts of power in order to undermine them, if necessary.

Where I'm from kings and queens aren't as powerful as they used to be.

Here? I suppose, you're right. We've got to figure out what to do with the powers given to us.

You'd work against them, then—those with too much power.

Not necessarily against, depending on how it goes. But at least to mitigate. Even the monarchs with the best intentions still have power because others lack it It's inherently unfair system.

And makes it all too easy for the corrupt to move in. But mitigating—there can be good leaders. Those who listen to other parties.
