[It hasn't been very long since his last attempt at communication, but this time he actually has something a little more worthwhile. A few questions, and the first one is perhaps an unusual one.

Since I seem to be temporarily out of a job, I'm looking for one. Is there anything interesting out there that needs doing? No housework or manual labor. Killing things is a plus. No charity work. I left my resume back in Amyrahl'nn, so to save time just assume I can do whatever it is that needs doing.

We definitely are. I've never met an Elf who didn't have their own agenda, but isn't the challenge worth the risk?

I was at the other end of one of Legolas's games once. I am no fool to do it again!

Legolas must be a worthy opponent, but you can't let one loss put you off gambling against Elves forever. Forever's a very long time, and I'm sure there's a foolish Elf or two out there.

The hangover I had after that lost bet still haunts me. Never again.

You just need a better hangover cure, that's all. Or bet on someone else's misfortune instead of your own. Or bet on something else entirely, like how high you can stack empty beer tankards before they fall over. [hey, he's in enough taverns that he gets bored easily.]
