[dawn has a fairly mixed expression of boredom and restlessness when the feed first turns on. see it's already been two weeks since her arrival and while she was initially nervous or otherwise cautious of all her surroundings and activity on the network at first, she's at the point where the boredom is unbearable.

so it's time to take matters into her own hands and find something fun to do. drabwurld, ready for some q&a?]

Okay, okay. I like that we can walk around freely and don't have to pay a dime for bed and breakfast or even some large bill for talking to people on this magical locket - but there's more fun things to do around here than that, right?

[she pauses, but then she feels she should elaborate further just in case.]

Stuff that teenagers do, I mean. Less mid evil training for fun and more twenty first century fun, like the places to shop or video games or whatever. Anything at all?

[Not in the least. Especially not wise cracking, sarcastic ones not so dissimilar to herself. She crosses her arms.]

[So stern, Dawn! It's a shame all it does is make Lumina giggle, swaying from side to side as she 'thinks' about it.]

Mmmmmmmm...nah. But watching everyone else run around because of it is pretty fun.

[:| People running around for their lives or whatever isn't fun, but Dawn quickly deducts that telling this girl as much would be useless and thus chooses her words differently.]

Well, it's not the sort of fun I'm into... It's better when everybody is hanging out instead of running around.

'Hanging out, is just a clever way of saying doing nothing. [Lumina huffs. She's never really had enough friends to just 'hang out.']

You could go to the station and be boring, I guess.

[Which is true, dawn gives her that much, but as the littlest sister her family she's not entirely sure how to deal with someone else being the immature one so-]

Maybe... it's nothing and something to do at the same time at least. [-and she's not touching the part the about being boring for choosing one location or another.]

Is it really the best 'something' you can come up with? There's a whole world of places to see here.

No... Yes? I don't know. Right now the choices we have for what we can do don't exactly leave anything great to come up with.

But you can do whatever you want? Go borrow a horse from the stables and go anywhere!

You're a shardbearer, we basically get free reign.

Horses, really? [it'd sound fun if she knew how to ride one, but small town girl meets country does not even sound like good TV.]

There has to be a better way to travel - or have fun without doing something sure to make you fall on your face. That's the reason why I'm asking people what they think is fun.

You could walk? Or borrow a bandersnatch from the stables. Or ask the monarchs for a chocobo.

[Because you can't borrow hers.]

If you're hoping for trains or cars or airships they really aren't a thing here.

Um, I kind of figured out the "isn't any cars" part already. Though you lost me before that with the choke-co-bo and bandersnatch part. Are those animals or monsters?

Chocobos are birds! [Lumina turns the locket around to show the cover of a book, which has a picture of a chocobo on the front.]

Bandersnaches...I guess they're sort of monsters. Everything here is sort of a monster.

[Dawn looks, but immediately thinks of something else.]

That's it? It's really looks more like one part duck, one part ostrich, and one part monster.

Everyone keeps thinking they're ostriches. [Not that Lumina had known what an Ostrich was until she'd talked to veronica about them, but still...]

They're really not. It's not their fault your world is probably stuck with horses. [Which are just so inferior.]

They really do look like them in a way, though. It's the same basic body structure. [...]

And cars. We had cars.

We had cars. Forever ago. [Lumina didn't remember them, not precisely, but she sort of did.]

Well, whatever they looked like, chocobos are clearly better.

That's to be seen. I never heard of them before today remember. [totally a gentle reminder and not a ounce of competitiveness of wits, yep. though she's just made herself curious.]

... Maybe if I seen them sometime.

You can come see mine if you want? I've got three!

... S-sure. You have three?

[only a little hesitant to accept because she hadn't expected there to be one around let alone three! also if they were like ostriches, she was uncertain of if their temperaments would be the similarly as bad.]

Yup! I got them as boons.

Boons. There's something I keep hearing about with no explanation to what they are. Though they don't sound free from what I understand.

Anyway, um...yeah, sure. I can come see. AS long as they don't bite.

Mm. They're free, as long as you help out? [Lumina shrugs, then waves.]
