Hullo.

[ And the smiling, freckled face of one Ginny Weasley is all up in this locket. She's clearly outside, soaking in the sunshine as she pulls back so her face isn't filling up the view. ]

There's been loads of talk lately about learning how to fight. Well, fight in other ways, proper swords and all. I reckon I got by all right with my wand during the worm fiasco but I can't deny that's a good thought. Merlin knows I've considered it. [ She laughs. ] Especially since I can imagine my mum in fits over me swinging a sword around.

[ She pauses, then, biting her lip around a thoughtful smile before scrambling forward (carefully) to hang her locket off a low branch of a tree in the bailey. She's sprawled (perhaps rather unladlylike, given the gown she's still getting used to wearing) on a stone bench, a broomstick in her lap, and she looks positively pleased about it. ]

But this is what I'm really excited about. I've had it since the fighting was over, as a gift... [ But she was still a little too banged up to use it. BUT NOW. ] It'd be nice, don't you think, to explore this place a bit? Beyond the castle. I'd love to see what's out there, properly out there.

[ Ginny releases the broom and it rises gently into the air. She touches it fondly. ]

Can't say I fancy flying in a dress, though. Am I allowed trousers here?

[ Ah, shaking hands. One of the customs of the Men that he doesn't quite mind at all. Their tendency to hug he minds a little more, though affectionate all in his own right, the physical displays are reserved for the closest friends. So Legolas takes the offered hand lightly, his grip firm though not crushing and he takes a seat on the grass near-by.

No kisses to the hand, however, sorry friend, that's not elven style. ]

I am Legolas, it is a pleasure meeting you in person. [ Of course he remembers the face and the voice and her ever cheerful support to his cause. He chuckles. ] I have spent a fair amount of time among the Men, but I cannot say I have picked up all of their customs. Though I do not believe they would be relevant here at all; this court is nothing like such of Men, or the Elves and most certainly nothing like the court of the Dwarves. Do as you will and as you are comfortable, as... [ And his grin quirks into a sharper one with a tease. ] You already have.

[ The grass is always more comfortable when he's out and about. Even when the ground still feels cool, though with obvious signs of spring to be seen everywhere. He cocks an eyebrow when Ginny joins him, though says nothing. He doesn't have to look up now, which Legolas appreciates greatly. ]

Then you ought to do all you can to be and nobody has the right to stop you. [ Now this question makes him wonder. For most, perhaps, it would seem that Drabwurld is a lot like where he comes from, much like Middle-Earth. But elves felt the difference distinctly, what with their connection to Arda which... seems lacking here. ] On the surface. Where I come from we do not know creatures such as the fairies, but Dwarves and Elves and Men quite indeed. Whether any of them are such as here, I cannot yet say. I have yet to meet a native Elf or a native Dwarf.
