My father - at times he would teach me. He was never taught, he only knew the simple movies but he taught me each one. He made swords so he wanted to make certain he knew to maneuver them - so he could know if the weigh and the balance is just right.

Makes enough sense to me. How can you create the best tools if you don't know how those tools will operate? At least you benefitted from it.

I keep telling him to relax and he doesn't listen to me anyway. Besides, he'd probably be happy to help you if you asked. That's…sort of what he does. [A shrug. He's perfectly aware he's making a bunch of assumptions without sharing details, but it's also in the thought that everyone should learn to defend themselves and Lancelot's clearly the best teacher. Clearly.]

For a long time in our world, there was a lot women weren't supposed to or couldn't do either. I mean this was all way before I was born but. [He just sort waves a hand. He's learned enough about women's suffrage and women's rights from Taylor to last him a lifetime.] Kind of more reason to take the opportunity here, don't you think?

I suppose that if we must fight a war than the women should have a right to try and defend themselves as much as the men do.

I don't see why not. I've met some girls here that might be stronger than some of the guys. [Then again with Katsa it could probably count as cheating, but who's counting?] And I've fought alongside some women before. You'd be impressed what people can do here...or maybe not, I don't really know what's common in Camelot.

I'm certain I will be. It would be wonderful to see women protect themselves as they should. Maybe - maybe one of them would care to train with me. Do you think they would? I'm probably not even half as good as they but.

We're all in this together. It only makes sense that women can fight just as well. [Which…he realizes is a little hypocritical due to the argument he had with Kelsi just a few days prior but whatever, Gwen doesn't need to know.]

I don't think it's even a matter of skill. People here seem to be more than willing to help if you just ask which is really kind of weird but I'm not going to question it. Sometimes they want to trade skills for skills but generally everybody's in agreement that nobody should be totally defenseless. [A pause.] …the one girl I'm thinking of is over on the other side though. [So how that would work, he's not sure.] But I can ask around if you want.
