[ A bit of silvery mist is the first thing anyone sees on the broadcast, then the growl of a one of the dog spirits. The Outsider hasn't quite gotten the hang of the Patronus charm yet, but it's fairly effective in getting the creature back enough to then slam it with a blast of wind magic.

His locket is bobbing up and down next to him, recording the whole thing from the side so that viewers can see both the dog being hit by magic and the Outsider (and his rather impassive) face. ]

It would seem that we missed a few of the grave sites.

[ Fear is a strange thing for a being who has seen so much; there's a tingle of it, but he's far more fascinated by it than anything else, at least for now.

The dog has only been knocked back and he lunges forward again; there's an irritated sigh and he pulls out a small, black-bladed knife and slashes at the beast's throat. ]

I'm finding that the alteration of my powers in this world is more and more of a hardship.

[ Well.

That's interesting. ]

I am in the courtyard; the baying of hounds brought me from my room.

[ She does an abrupt b-line to the courtyard now, walking in quick strides. Alice can be very violent should the mood strike her, like now. She's going to make this trek very quick. ]

Does he need more bones to call back his brethren?

I believe it would rather have our shards.

[ Which is not an option, as far as he's concerned. This entire time he's been pushing the dog away using magic, wind and the almost-Patronus, and striking out with his knife when that doesn't work. ]

And so it must be put to rest.

[ Of course by now Alice is not in her sound mind. Rather than let it control her, she chooses to rebound. ]

I'm coming to help you.

[ well.

okay then. ]

Until then.

[ What's a friend for? She's in the courtyard in a few minutes, both her knife and sword in hand. ]

[ And here's the Outsider, his knife in one hand and the other casting more silvery almost-Patronus mist. ]

Together may be more effective.

[ If his words will break through her haze... ]

[ It might.

It's worth a try, but she may be more willing to listen to a friend's voice. Alice has made it over to his direction at least in one piece. ]

When I knock them down, strike.

[ And he blasts the nearest dog with wind again, waiting to see if Alice will do so. ]

[ Alice uses her ability to turn into butterflies to increase her speed. As soon as the nearest dog is knocked down, Alice drives down the sword through the spine to sever it. A sufficiently cruel way to make sure they don't get back up. Vorpal blade in one hand sword in the other. she alternates freely between them both. ]

[ He wonders, idly, what makes these spirits stick to the normal laws of motion, of life and death. Their form? Their purpose? How they were created? Why should severing the spine of a spirit alter it so? But it does, and the Outsider simply nods once.

This will do. ]

[ But Alice is slipping further and further into her madness again. There's something undeniably cathartic about it, freely carving through them. How dare they even glance at her friends.

How dare they approach them.

She does not crave power; the power she wants is to protect her friends, even if it meant the cost of her own welfare. Oddly enough, she feels safe and secure with the Outsider, when she knows that he is a dark being of chaos. It doesn't matter now, Alice has caught her breath. Wild and unhinged with her hair in her face, she repeats the same process with the Outsider once again.

After all, she's just looking after a friend. ]
