( ✈ FOURTH FLIGHT; VIDEO — BOTH COURTS )

[ A bedroom beneath the Station. One of the larger ones, given Toothless is there with his head tentatively on the bed taken up by the limp figure of Jack Frost; dark blood looks like it's been cleaned up as best it can, smears remaining on one of Jack's legs around a nasty wound.

Specks of the same old blood can be seen on Hiccup's cheek amongst his freckles when he leans into view. ]

I've heard of people falling asleep for extended periods of time before, but do they often ... go through accidents while they sleep? I, I'm not explaining this very well. Sort of, like they might be getting injured somehow, but they're haven't moved? [ Dressed down for the broadcast in a red hoodie and layered green tshirts, Toothless has similarly had his saddle placed in a corner with Hiccup's armour. They've been here long enough to get into a routine. ] He's also a little dead, but he was that way before. It's more noticeable now since he isn't moving. Or breathing. Also, his clothes changed this one time? Gah!

[ Face-palming in frustration, Hiccup rakes back his hair. ]

See, I don't even know if I need a healer because all his wounds are re-knitting despite the fact he just keeps getting more. I'm not some magical undead warlock, wound-healing, mystical wardrobe stylist. If anybody could shed some light on what's going on, I'd appreciate it — Yeah, bud, what is it?

[ Glancing over his shoulder when the Night Fury whines in distress, Hiccup drops the locket upon seeing a dark bruise spread over their unconscious friend's jaw. ]

Jack —!

( ooc: so arisa is on hiatus for her fancy cruise and jack is being canon updated!! as a sidenote on her behalf, he's going through around 300+ years of accidents and junk as he matures/becomes a pro at what he does, so there are plenty of bruises/fractures/breaks to be seen in the first few days of his enchanted sleep. feel free to notice the signs! c: )

You must be Jack's friend Hiccup. I thank you for looking after him. But this sleep you describe - aye, one of my kin suffered similar, and she, too had injuries come and go during the course of her slumber. Tis poor comfort, I know, but all you can do is wait for him to wake.

It seems to vary? There have been several who slept thus - some for days, some for weeks. One slept almost a month, from memory. If my kin was any indication, while their bodies sleep here, their souls walk in their homes, and live through whatever griefs and joys they should have done normally. The best you can do will be to be there when they wake.

I thank you for the sentiment - but she is well now, and that is enough for me.

[ hesitation then ]

Master Jack seemed a sensible sort, and he owned you friend and said your dragon was not as my kin knew them. I... have far too many evil memories of such beasts to ever sit easy with them I think, but... if ever you need someone to speak to while Jack sleeps... I would not refuse you.

[ The face on this end is young with old eyes, and Maglor flinches slightly, the memory of dragonfire in his eyes, although his voice stays steady ]

Perhaps in your world that is true, and if so I envy you, for it was not so in mine.

[ Softly ] I will grant Master Jack his assertion that your Toothless is more like a hound than a dragon.

[ A small tight smile ]

Oh, they were far more than simple beasts in my world. They had intelligence and cunning, and the great among them had speech, as well as the Dragonspell. No one knows from whence they came, but it is whispered that the first were demons in flesh, bred in the dungeons of the Dark Lord.

I am glad, that it is not so in every world. [ He almost whispers, watching them play ] I am glad that there are places beyond His reach. The bond is true, it seems, between you and he. I am glad.

You have spoken to my cousin then? Aye - twas her daughter who slept, the Lady Celebrian.

[ Fear, and memory - and hate too, old and deep. The Eldar do not forget, after all... and Maglor has plenty of reason to hate Glaurung and his get.

He manages a small quirk of a smile for Hiccup, however ]

I am sure he would, for your sake, and I cannot comment on his titles, without having known him.

Superstition? [ Maglor turns the word over thoughtfully and shakes his head slightly ]

Nay - not for us. What you describe sounds like raids of beasts, even if those more intelligent than most. None who faced Glaurung ever doubted his malice - and I was there when he came forth for the first time, the Father of Dragons. [ Not directly - his men had seen to that, and died for it. But Maglor remains Lothlann aflame, reminds the gleam of terrible awareness that sought to trap him, even at a distance ] I am grateful you never had to face the Uruloki, and hope you never will.

[ a shake of the head ]

No insult was meant, and none taken. I am glad it is different in yours, and hope you never learn differently in mine... I suspect it might cost you dearly. You have a good heart, Master Hiccup.
