[ Alice has spent most of her day in her room, keeping to herself. After Samhain, she's feeling particularly burnt out socially, choosing to make the most of her time with her pet rabbit and her drawings. What she won't mention is that her hallucinations have gotten pretty vivid the past few days and they're riddling her drawings that are sprawled all over around her. Her hands are covered in blue thanks to the pastels. This is one of the weirder things she's drawn, spending a lot of time mindlessly on the face. She only stops once to itch her nose, getting the blue-black residue of the chalk pastels.]

Oh, bother.

[ Alice stifles a sneeze, rubbing it off her nose. Alice stops to adjust her neck.]

Well, I'm going to run out of pastels. I should have gotten them at the Station when I had the chance. Not one of my more finer projects, but I suppose it'll suffice for now. Do they even have these in Caer Scima?

There is a rather boring man in my own world who is considered an esteemed painter. People would pay rather ridiculous sums of money for a portrait by him.

[ And you, Alice, have the added bonus of being interesting. ]

I think portraits are boring. They do not show the real person behind the commission. Anyone can do a portrait, but it is still a lie to who they really are.

[ This coming from the girl who's drawings tend to be on the more surreal and disturbing side. Shamelessly so. Her visions are already twisted, so why should her drawings be anything but? ]

He was horribly predictable. Tried constantly to meet me, yet I never once responded.

Still. Artists can be valued.

What did he do?

Chanted and scrawled runes and attempted to command my presence. All very unoriginal.

Commanded your presence? That's a bit rude.

[ Philosophy? Her father's favorite subject next to literature. Alice gives a little scoff. ]

I don't know the man and even I think he's a disgrace. A shame, there are much more humble men who study philosophy.

Another helped me to create an artifact to help one of my Marked -- the Heart of a Living Thing. Piero did so quite well, although he is not Marked himself.

... Marked.

[ Obviously like her. She has to wonder what these people are like and hope there is a difference between them. Alice doesn't want to associate with a sorry sap trying to invoke an otherworldly being. ]

What do you mean by "the heart of a living thing"? Was this Piero like the one you speak of?
