A weight had been lifted off of her with her arrival, though the chill still remained - seeming to radiate from within.]

Mae govannen [(Well met)], these creatures informed me I am in the Drabwurld just beyond the Unseelie castle. They do not seem to be able to tell me how I might return home. It is imperative that I do not linger here, my father will worry.

[Among others, though he would be first to notice her absence. It could be a terrible distraction from the war, causing worry when it was unnecessary - even cause a horrible loss. That could not happen - no on her account.]

Goheno nin [(Forgive me)], but I must return to Imladris at once. You seem to have powerful enough magic to bring me to your world, surely it could not be such a hardship to return me home. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

[And with that the locket closes, uneasy eyes searching the forests for an unseen danger - far too accustomed to things like orcs roaming in the night. The sooner she could be returned home, the better.]

[ At least she has someone coming to her side. When Hermione woke up here it had just been here, alone, and it had been disconcerting to say the least. She was better, now, having friends old and new, but it can't be easy. No matter what.

I travel with Legolas, actually. I've sort-of adopted him? But I've also spoken to Galadriel and Nerdanel.

[She seems smart and kind, not surprised that Legolas would have welcomed her into his company.]

Both Galadriel and Nerdanel are my kin. Galadriel is my grandmother.

[Nerdanel is more complex to describe, something she would rather attempt to explain in person.]

Really? She really doesn't look old enough to be anyone's grandmother - she's stunning.

[ And now Hermione goes a little pink. ]

I - I mean, um. Was that rude?

Not at all. 'Tis a gift bestowed upon the elves with long life.

[She gives a reassuring smile.]

How old do you believe me to be?

[ Well, that makes her hesitate. This is a dangerous game, surely? ]

Oh, um. I'm not sure - you don't look that much older than Legolas, really.

[Far less dangerous than some games with her grandmother or other kin here that had thousands upon thousands of years on her making her appear young in comparison.]

I am just over 2,770 years old.

[She had over a thousand years on Legolas, but she wasn't about to add that.]

Oh. Well, you don't look a day over nine hundred?

[ ... And she's barely scratching 21. Wow. ]

[That earns a small laugh, not surprised by the reaction. Time moved differently for elves, a sometimes difficult concept for mortals to grasp.]

[And she would say with her years behind her, she's more than qualified.]

[She would be very interested in seeing any books from her realm as well, magic not something she's ever truly been skilled in wielding.]

I'd be happy to. I have a lot of books and things from home that I carry around with me - I'd love to show you sometimes.
