04 / UNSEELIE / (VOICE)

[Ganondorf is not usually a man to speak at length or to make messages on the lockets. But in light of recent developments and his aims to begin working against a tedious rival, it is time to begin gathering forces to him. He's built himself a sizable army already. Now he needs shardholders to stand with him. He has come to understand that each one of them might potentially be as valuable as a hundred native soldiers.]

With the passing of my sixth month, a fourth collection of Shardholders has been drawn into this world. The war carries on, though fate would seem to favor the side of our monarchs. [Absent as they might be...]

I am Ganondorf Dragmire. In my own land, I was the King of the Gerudo and of Hyrule. Until I return there, I am presently the Lord of Mair. My keep and city was won by conquest and much work has been done to rebuild and improve upon it. There are those among our court who helped to win and those who have labored to restore it. I have arranged quarters be provided for each one of you. You will always find Mair a safe haven as repayment for your efforts.

To those other Unseelie sharded, I extend my welcome to come visit the city. You need not travel the long road here. The High Queen has provided a Fairy Ring to the outside of the city. The land here is rich and bountiful so much that the people idle their time away in gambling houses and taverns. No doubt most will find some manner of entertainment within the city. [Says a man who clearly doesn't go out of his way for entertainment.]

Furthermore to those who wish to press the battle and see this war ended, then I welcome you to fight beneath my banner. Those who serve me will not go unrewarded. We stand on the cusp of victory. Already we have claimed powerful allies from Redgate and Maupertius. [Though he is eager to be rid of the latter...] We may have lost one battle at Cothromach, but we have slain their dragon and given our Seelie counterparts pause to reconsider their allegiance. Once the Seelie monarchs have been taken from their throne, we will at long last be able to return to our rightful homes.

How do the denizens of Redgate fair?

Mm. I can see where they would get their gratitude from, it's a shame, really. Is she... truly gone?

[ Yes, yes, she's alive, no thanks to beefcake. ]

How is it now? How far along are they with rebuilding?
digophelia: (I am not one for the tomb)

[ Lovely. That poor woman has been through enough. ]

What of Reynard's whereabouts? The last I saw of him, the whole entire altar nearly came down.

We're getting there, but it's slow going. A great many of the miners were lost or injured too badly to return to their trade.

[ as a member of the fourth wave of arrivals, katherine's a little lost on all the locations and personalities he mentions in his little speech, but she personally hopes it isn't long before she knows everything there is to know about what she's missed and the key players here. but this gentleman seems to be one. and that is important enough to katherine to take note of his words and even reply. ]

Is there a price for this hospitality? [ katherine's come to understand that not everyone is generous without wanting something in return. does shacking up in a place where she doesn't live in something akin to squalor mean she's signing herself beneath the banner of a man she doesn't even know? if she is, she really doesn't care, but she doesn't particularly want another man chasing her ruthlessly for the rest of her life. ]

[ She thinks herself pitiful as the idea of coming after him again with the hobby horse and beating him into a pulp makes her a little more complacent. ]

We nearly had him. Unless there is a way to stop him from creating that much damage again when stricken, I am not sure what will him the next time.
digophelia: (I'd like to see what lies beyond)

Those poor souls. Surely there is a way to have others from outside the gates to help them?

There is, but it takes time. I was lucky.

What battle was lost at Cothromach?
thebreakingwave: (01 » none of your bs)

Those of us who did, yes.

That seems to be a on-going trend.

[ invest in some charm, that'd do it. ]

[ but katherine can respect that. she'd be considered a traitor to klaus for survival purposes, but she's never purposefully committed an act of treachery against those she had sworn her own oath to. she had never done so with klaus, nor even elijah; she's not a woman who gives her word without the desire to uphold it. it's only one person she has ever truly remained loyal to, and that's herself. ] And does our High Queen have the patience? Her throne was empty at the feast.

So whatever dragons are here get tortured and forced to participate in this pointless war. Fantastic.

[ More than that, he's thoroughly irked he's been lied to or deliberately fed the wrong information; that there aren't just two dragons around the Drabwurld as he was told, not that he really believed that to begin with (and those are probably being served up for warfare, too), and louts like this are swaggering around thinking there's some kind of glory in winning battles for the fair folk. This is so stupid.

Hiccup gestures without thinking, a hand flailing in exasperation. ]

So who was it that freed this 'mindless beast'? I'd like to hear what they have to say.
digophelia: (Doll-bed held together with old rubberba)

[personal profile] digophelia 2014-10-05 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
[ With a deep, heavy sigh. ]

Unfortunately. Perhaps we should reconsider as a team about taking on explosions or cave-ins so that we don't have to worry about our streak of dumb luck.

And so is Sir Lancelot as well as the Brucolac and Harry. I'd prefer them over Reynard. We know them to be loyal!
