[ Alice has switched to voice, from her usual pattern of video. This takes a lot for her to ask since Alice is not the least bit willing to ask for help from strangers. So she takes a breath, keeping it to the people she can somewhat rely on. They don't have her absolute trust, not yet. ]
I suppose I ought to introduce myself for those who don't know me. My name is Alice Liddell and I have gone along a few excursions with my fellow court members. It was not my intent to be so vested in these matters, but the livelihood of those I know mean a great deal to me. I'd rather not have anyone take anymore blows for me.
So I must ask... how does one go about improving offensive skills? I mean to say- [ With a small huff of frustration-] I have no form to pay someone, not yet. I hope that my sincerity in order to help my friends is enough.
I have my knife- the vorpal blade. It is meant to never dull and it will remain sharp and it can go through almost anything. In addition, I was given a sword when I first moved to the Station but I am not very good with it, not like those who I know. I have just recently acquired another weapon from my world that can best be described as a blunt weapon with a strange side effect.
Please understand -- there are so many skilled fighters here and I am nothing more than some maid and nanny to children. I'm not skilled in many things, but I owe it to those who risked their skins for me.

[ She does consider it -- or at least she will say so. She shrugs it off, simply because she really does believe this pales in comparison to the pain and torment she had dealt with in Rutledge Asylum. ]
I don't have anything else to lose, except a life of a friend's. I won't tolerate that.
voice;
I would be glad to give you instruction, but also take time to consider others that may respond to this request.
voice;
I shall, but to be blunt considering you are the brother to Mr. Maglor and Celegorm, I will have a bias. But do as you will, Mr. Maedhros.
voice;
.. I shall contact you again after I have spoken to Maglor. Between now and then, take this as my first lesson to you-- speak to others that offer, take note of any that interest you. Clean your vorpal blade and the sword that was given to you. Find sheathes, if possible. If not, I will find or have them made for you.
voice;
She knows not to sully the blade, she has it cleaned frequently. It doesn't cut as nicely as it does when the blade is bloodied alongside her. She does not utter that. After all, Alice is more brutal than she gives herself credit for, amongst other things. ]
Of course, Mr. Maedhros, I shall.
[ She's hoping that didn't sound as snappy or pushy as she did before. ]
I apologize for my impudence.
voice;
voice;
... You do?
private voice;
private voice;
It's hit a nerve, but nothing too extreme. If anything, she's overcome with empathy. ]
I understand that all too well.
[ He's not getting the full story, she doesn't trust a soul well enough to let them know she was severely mistreated, along with others. There's to it, she's just not saying it. Alice doesn't trust him, brother to Maglor and Celegorm or not. ]
I nearly lost my life in a fire that killed my parents. It took some time until I was healthy again.
private voice;
also like her, he won't share the whole of it. he never has before, and he doesn't intend to begin, no matter the evidence that was written on his skin, or what his brothers and others had guessed at. ]
I think you know, then, that I intend to take your request very seriously.
private voice;
You have my deepest gratitude, Mr. Maedhros.
