Just to the side is a big map. There's a quill tucked behind his ear and a splotch of ink on his cheek, but whatever. ]

Alright? I've been meaning to get out of Caer Scima for a while, just to see what's out there.

[Read: I've been meaning to go the station and buy myself jeans and a hoodie. ]

Anyway, I'm going to head to the dead city of Quendi. I was wondering if there's anyone who's up for a bit of a journey? It might take a couple of weeks.

[Or like, a lot of weeks.]

I was thinking we could probably make our way to the station afterwards? If you're keen to get out of the castle's for a while, you're more than welcome to come along.

Besides the dead, there are trolls and banshees. Are you like either of those? [The sneer that pulled up his lip went with his tone, clearly suggesting he didn't think there was anything like him in Quendi.]

Well no, but I am fairly dead. I mean, apart from the speaking and the past cannibalism, I reckon I've got loads in common with who's there already.

[No, that wouldn't work, would it? He'd have to be at the Station full time to survive. There was a still a huge chance he wasn't going to believe whatever the explanation was, but he had to ask.]

No, I mean it when I say I'm a medical anomaly. My brain shouldn't even have the basic function it has if I don't take my medication. My heart doesn't beat, I've got no blood flowing to get oxygen to my brain?

[this is too much science. ]

I mean, I've got all this black sludge inside me. Maybe that takes oxygen to my brain.

[Black... sludge? He was no doctor, but the lack of circulation made even that sound implausible. The reliance on some form of medication was a clue, at least.]

I cannot begin to guess. Perhaps you will find what you are looking for at Quendi, but the things we found there were not medical anomalies.
