[When the video turns on it might have just been somewhat accidental. She'd asked the fairies how to use it which might not have been all that helpful, really, but she'd figured it out earlier and was now perhaps investigating more. She's a tiny thing, however, and young-- dressed in bright orange and yellow monk garb. When she moves it always seems light and with the wind-- she's definitely fidgity right now.

For a moment she doesn't say anything. She tries to figure out what she wants to say once more. By nature she's a shy one and so it's weird to suddenly address a bunch of people. She definitely knows there's a lot of them, too. She wants to, however, and so she quickly musters up the nerve.]

Hi. I'm Jinora.

[A pause. That's good, right? It's a start. Nice and simple, but she continues on.]

. . . I just arrive here a little while ago. That's okay, 'though, because Korra and some of the others are here. Daddy's not... but that's okay, because he's got lots to do at home right now with everyone. [It is kind of disheartening though, seeing as they'd only just made up. And Kai wasn't here either. She wants to see them both, but really besides that time in the Spirit World she'd always had her father. Her entire family, really. It's just a little nerve wracking.]


I spent a while talking to the fairies! They told me a little about where we're are, but they seemed more interested in playing. They didn't seem mean, they helped me find my friends. [Hm.] But I did have to go to the library to learn more! The library here's definitely one of the biggest I've seen, I could read in there forever. There's a lot to read, but I'll do it.

[She hesitates for just one moment more and pulls a hand to her chin, the uncertain look pulling through as she thinks about it.] But well... [She decides to just say and it speaks up.] The best knowledge comes straight from the people who lived it, so I thought it was a good idea to ask:

Do you guys like it here? Have you seen new things? What sort of new things have you seen? The animals are completely different from ours at home and the fairies aren't anything like we have either. 'Though, they do remind me of spirits a little. Do you travel a lot here? I bet there's a lot of places you can see that would be exciting.

[Do the questions stop? Probably never. But at least she seems to be excited and trying, but there's a more pressing question here and she gets to it soon enough:]

Do you think peace is possible? Isn't there a lot more to do around here then fighting each other? There seems to be tons of things to learn and do so it would be a waste if there wasn't a way to bring peace that way. [Because we don't have to fight. Of course, it's in her nature to be a pacifist. And that's the one thing that's been troubling her. Certainly, she knew about war and there was some-- but being told she was a participant and there was no way around it didn't sit right. She wants to find another way.]



Um. I guess that's what I wanted to ask! If you'd like to answer or just talk I'd like that. We can try being friends, that would be nice, too. I'm not really good at this but it didn't seem like anyone minded that...

[She smiles hopefully! Now that she's no longer rattling off a million questions and her most important one is out she's back to that uncertain shyness and with it she gives a slight wave and shuts off the feed for now. Mission accomplished.]

[ Oh! It's a friend! Of Korra. And she glances over her shoulder at Korra and back again. A wave and she tucks her hands behind her back. ]

Yeah, we're friends. It's nice to meet you, Cassie. She's must of met los of people since then.

[ Four small, black fish with long fins swim around the Outsider in midair, and an iron circlet sits atop his head. Neither of these do anything to help his pale complexion or the fact that his eyes are entirely black. ]

I have seen many new things, Jinora. Animals, locations, people who are not humans but not gods either. I have heard stories of places where magic is practiced freely, of a land whose people do not die. And I, too, have spent much of my time reading.

[ Strangely, she might look a little more curious then taken aback. Mostly because she's been to the Spirit World. Strange things weren't exactly abnormal there and some of the spirits were like that... Of course, that was when they'd change from their peaceful side and maybe that was a bit worrying.

But she was trying not to think about that. He was obviously a person and he had cute... fish friends... so that couldn't be so bad, right? ]

Really? [ The surest way to her heart. ] Even before here I didn't see that much. We stayed on our island and daddy took us to the other Air Temples. There's a lot to see in any world though, huh? Have you found anything that you really want to see again here? Or at home?

Do you know Mako and Bolin, too?

[ He figures she must, but... ]

Bolin and I are going to look for a bear at some point, since he said he hasn't seen one before.

Uh-huh. They come and stay with us sometimes, too.

[ Air Temple island is where all the cool kids live. It helps that they're all part of the Avatar group and thereby Tenzin must keep an eye on all of them. Or something. But she likes them! They're friends. ]

I've never seen a bear, either. We have bears, though! An old Earth Kingdom king had a bear named Bosco, but you don't see them that often.

[Idril smiles indulgently -- Jinora reminds her a little of Earendil, if only in her earnest questioning.]

Hello, Jinora. I would be happy to answer your questions but I wanted to introduce myself first. I am Idril.

[ There are a lot of people here. She kind of knew that already, at least, but at least quite a few people answered her. And it makes her smile more easily. ]

Hello. It's nice to meet you, Miss Idril. Have you been here a while?

[ Vanille isn't sure what questions she should answer, so she opts to just ask one of her own. It's easier that way, in a lot of ways. ]

Your world has spirits? What are they like?

[ They way she'd spoken of them made it sound like they were more than just ghosts. ]

Uh-huh. There are a lot of spirits. Furryfoot is one of my best friends.

[ Of course, she also didn't meet a lot of kids her own age around that time. But that's beside the point and she thinks about it before answering properly. ]

There's a whole world of Spirits, but Korra opened the portal and so now Spirits and humans can explore each other's worlds. Before they used to keep mostly to their world. But Furryfoot, Bumju, and their friends would come see me all the time. There's all kinds of Spirits. Some of them look like plants and some of them look like animals. They take all types of forms, but they're usually nice.

Well you're pretty nosy, huh. [Lumina's voice is teasing when she appears on the locket, looking maybe a year older than Jinora.]

But from what everyone has said, peace isn't ever going to happen. Although half the people brought in to fight the war are insisting they aren't going to, so maybe it'll just...fade away?

No one has to answer if they don't want to. [ But it's said lightly in turn. She doesn't mind and it's not often she gets to meet kids her age. Most of the people around are adults. ]

Peace can happen. Even if it takes fighting to make sure no one attacks each other, peace isn't something that can't exist. [ It's all about balance, after all. War can't exist without it, but the important part was making sure peace lasted. ] I don't think anyone suddenly shoved into a war would answer with they were going to fight... People don't work that way. Most of us just want to live peacefully.

[Kayneth raises an eyebrow slightly when he sees the next person on the locket, which is... a literal child.

...no, really, even if she could pack a punch --- entirely possible but unlikely in his world --- was this... necessary?

Well, whatever. There was no reason he couldn't strike up a conversation, even if the other participant was an actual child. If nothing else, she seemed like the bright sort that could be used as a sounding board, so ---]

Well, I'm a new arrival myself, so I can't say that I've seen the vast majority of what there is to see here... but the fairies are a bit different here than at home, or at least the number of them. They were far more common in the past back home, but the majority of them these days are more like apparitions than actual beings.

...and thank you for reminding me of the library, by the way --- there's so much to do and see that you tend to lose track of what you have and haven't done.

[ Age isn't a consideration in her book, at least. Or maybe it should be. But she felt she was 'grown up' now, and had said as much to her father just several hours ago. This was an entirely different circumstance now, but Korra was here so it wasn't so bad.

And she's more curious then anything. ]

You really had fairies back home, too? What did they look like? All of the ones here are really excited and get distracted easily... It's a little hard to ask them questions, but they still try.

[ Which is to say that it at least counts for something in her book. But she didn't really think badly of them. ]

Oh. You don't have to thank me. There's all kinds of things to do right now that isn't reading in the library. Mako was going there earlier so I went with him. When you get the chance you should definitely visit it. They have books on every subjects imaginable.

[So many books to read, there's most definitely not a lot of time. ]

There are lots of places you can go, but they can be dangerous. Some of us are working for diplomacy, however. You might want to talk to Miss Sigrid.

[ This one kind of catches her off guard and for very obvious reasons. Everyone knew that Tarrlok had disappeared, more then that really, and so seeing him kind of wasn't a thing she was expecting. Or was probably warned about. But the good news is that... she kind of stares a moment not sure what to say.

And while she still certainly looks confused her conversation with Mako comes back. When he mentioned different times she'd immediately asked if it meant Grandpa Aang or Avatar Wan could be here. So, really, it wasn't that impossible for Tarrlok to be here at all.

However she definitely looks uncertain but instead just asks her question.

[ There are always more questions to come. Possibly unfortunately for any she talks to, but at least she has answers. That's helpful sometimes, too, right? ]

We don't have fairies, but we have spirits. They live with us and some of them are my friends. [ She smiles and gives a slight nod thinking about it. ] But they come in all different sizes and forms. Some of them look a little like the fairies from far away.

[He's already getting tired of all this war business and people being enemies. This is the sort of thing that needs to be talked about.]

This place is pretty big. Seems more fit to have a little fun in it more than anything.

[ There's a brief pause as she considers it and shakes her head. Learning is fun for Jinora, so it's true, but she doesn't want to ignore anything he's said. ]

Fighting everyone wouldn't be very helpful. We could do more about learning things. That's fun. There's really no reason to hurt anyone if we can find other ways.
