III [Accidental Video; Backdated a few days]

[The feed opens after this scene, as Zelos sets down his bag and accidentally causes the locket attached to open. They look to be in some area of the Station and Zelos is accompanied by what looks like grouchy black cat with a red scarf (who is no other than Mako who accidentally got turned into a cat by a feather). Also there's a baby dragon.]

Jeez- fine, Mako! I'll try! Stop giving me that look!

[Zelos sighs and tries to think how to do this. He's never actually tried to undo a curse or enchantment with magic before - he usually left that up to Raine. Just how was he supposed to do this? But he had to try something, so he makes a thinking noise for a moment before he snaps his fingers]

Okay, got an idea! Just hold still, okay? This takes concentration.

[He makes sure to be standing up so he can concentrate properly. Then, he starts channeling magic. Glowing light and glyphs appear around him. As he does so, water comes up from the ground, clean and sparkling with magic. The water starts to spin around the cat, until it forms a very large spinning bubble around him without getting him wet. Zelos meanwhile, looks like he's trying really hard to keep up concentration as he tries to recite the incantation he heard Raine say a lot]

Root of all creation...grant us the breath of- shit! Wait! That's the wrong one!

[And with that mess up, his concentration is broken. The glowing glyphs immediately dissipates and the sparkly water bubble? Well it immediately loses it's form and the water SPLASHES down on the cat. ]

MRRROOOOW!! [The cat freaks out, sneezing out a fireball in the process]

Whoa-! [Zelos jumps back away from the splashing water and FIRE, looking very startled]

...Oops?

[Don't ask him complicated questions gosh!! But wow, somehow he's not surprised she can talk to cats. Because sure, why not.]

[The moment he mentions a feather, she perks up.]

So there was a feather! I suppose they have more than one effect, then. I found one too, but I'm obviously not a cat.

Hey, I didn't say I found one. Just...that's what other people suggested!

I didn't mean you, I meant Mako. [A beat.] Mister Mako? [She doesn't know what he looks like and they haven't been formally introduced HOW TO BE POLITE.

Wait, but what if he's a noble or royal or military or something???]

He doesn't have some sort of title I should be using, does he?

[ cat trots over to zelos's bag, finally dried off thanks to much steaming and shaking water out of his coat, meowing politely. kinda politely. mostly grumpily. ]

[Oh! Flora starts to smile quite brightly because cat but she remembers that he's a person and tones it down, just a little. Maybe.]

Hello, Mister Mako, Sir. I apologise if I'm not using the right title for you, and I'm sorry this happened to you. [Her voice softens and her eyebrows point inward. She does feel bad.] Did you find a feather, though?

[ honestly, the title thing is weird to consider at all. officer might count, but... he's hardly on duty here, and that's really more of a rank, you know? but... whatever. at least she doesn't seem like she's trying to mock him by saying it, which is more than can be said for... other people who give him titles. so. points to you for that, flora.

as for a feather... he has seen them but he hasn't picked any up. at least, not on purpose, or that he knows of? (the one stuck in the back of his scarf remains undiscovered for now)

he shakes his head, his ears drooping slightly in disappointment because mAN he doesn't like being a cat, you know? he's so... tiny... and fragile... and thumb less... its awful. ]

[~~That's rough, buddy.~~

But no, no mocking here. He's been transformed and given an impromptu bath, she figures he's had enough for a day. It actually hits just a little close to home for her.] This can't be fun for you.

I had a friend who got turned into a pumpkin once, and it took a while to change her back. [A beat.] I've actually had a lot of my friends get turned into things, come to think of it. Maybe you picked on up without realising it, or maybe it's something else entirely. I wouldn't be surprised.

[Flora points a finger upward and a stream of fire appears.]

When I found one, I was able to start doing this. Different things seem to be having to people.

[Okay, but if he did maybe pick one up without noticing, there's only so many places it can be and by that, she's really just thinking of one.]

[ a... pumpkin? what the heck his ears twitch attentively with her story, betraying his emotions as she talks, sometimes folding down in skepticism or distaste, but definitely perking up at the sight of the fire.

but he does do as flora asks, shaking himself much like a dog gets water out of its coat, starting with his head, his ears twitching, and ending with his tail. it doesn't do anything immediately, but the blue feather tangled up in the knot holding his tiny scarf in place is pulled away from his fur, so hopefully......

Yes, a pumpkin. [She's good with animals and can read your kitty skepticism, Mako.

But she smiles brightly when the feather reveals itself during his shakeout. So she was right, after all! Excellent, maybe he'll change back.

Any moment now....]

[ any.... momeOH THERE WE GO. there's a rather tall fellow sitting where the cat was before, looking relieved and slightly bewildered. apparently the gold eyes weren't a cat only thing, because his are clearly the same color, and with his dark clothes and red scarf, it's not hard to see how the feather made him shift into a cat the way it did.

delighted that dad is big and safe now, the little dragon that has been watching the whole spectacle squeaks in delight and crawls into his lap, twining around his forearm and trilling happily. ]

Oh.

[Flora clasps her hands, delighted.]

Oh, wonderful! I was wondering if I might have to come and try reversing it myself.

[Also wow is that a dragon--okay no first thing's first.]

I'm glad that worked.

[ still startled, mako holds up one of his hands to inspect it, make sure it's not, you know, a paw, before focusing properly on flora in the locket, his other hand idling scratching at the baby dragon behind the ears. ]

Mako? A title?

[NOT...THAT HE KNOWS ABOUT, or cares! But this is Zelos, alwasy gonna sass]

- Oh right! [he snaps his fingers] How rude of me.

I think it's...Empurror Mako the Tailented! ♪

[ CLAWS ZELOS IN THE KNEE ]

[Flora covers her mouth and tries to hold it in, but her shoulders shake and she's giggling anyway.]

Oh no, that's so cute! And so made up! But so cute. Though I wonder if it's a good idea to call him that.

[Because she could get on board for that if Mako seemed like he would be, but he's already been turned into a cat and had water dumped on him, he could probably use a break.]

Ouch! [Is now comically hopping up and down as he grabs his knee] Looks like not. C'mon Mako- I thought it was pretty good!

What about the Purrfect? The Pawesome?

Maybe clawsome might be better. It's more fierce. [She makes a playful clawing motion with a hand as she says it.]

But are you okay?

Ha, yeah- maybe.

[He stops hopping and rubs his knee] Yeah, I think I'll be fine.

- What's with the caring about titles all the sudden? It's not like you call me by mine.

Aww, I'd say maybe get that looked at, but that's actually your job.

[So if he says it's fine, it probably is.

Still, that can't have been fun.]

I care about everyone's titles, it's only respectful. And hey, I didn't know about yours until recently! How does it work as a common term of address? Does it just precede your name, or do people call you something like your excellency, instead?

[She's a little doubtful that Zelos would seriously push to have her use it at this point, but she can't help but be curious nonetheless.]

I wouldn't say it's my j- [You know what? Screw it. Too many words required to explain he doesn't have a doctorate or a job in the medical profession] - Nevermind. But yeah, I can take care of it no problem.

[Unlike...curing Mako of his catness.......]

[He sighs lightly. Manners are silly man. But yeah, he really doesn't care about being called his title. If anything, he prefers his name]

They just call me Chosen. Or Chosen One, if they're feeling extra formal.

[Manners are super important!!

But she's not a huge stickler for formality if it's not called for it, either. Half her best friends are royalty, so while she means what she says next, her voice is also perfectly casual. She can go either way, it's no problem, she doesn't want to be disrespecting him unwittingly.]

So, did you want me to use your title at all? [Didn't he say there were a lot Chosens, though? Do they not use their names at all? It seems a little odd to her.]

Only if you wanna put "The Great and Sexy" in front of it!

[That would be a "No"]

I think one of those things is more accurate than the other, but noted.
