[ Video; Both Courts ]
[ This video feed is focused mostly on a Lancelot's dog, so all that is really seen of him is his hands holding her still. She's terribly curious about it, but he's restraining her from licking it or chewing it.
His voice is distinctly tired, and anyone who is paying attention will notice that you can just about see a line of red, raw skin on his wrists -- leather guards covering how heavy the damage might be. ]
Is anyone good with names? I'm afraid my friend here has gone too long without one. She's brave, curious but cautious, much cleverer than I am...
[ She's also turning to nudge his hands. He lifts one gently and pets at her ears. She squirms a little, shakes her head -- then makes a quiet, high-pitched sound and...
... hiccups a tiny fireball. The dog's ears flatten back, perhaps unhappy or apologetic (maybe embarrassed, it wasn't very elegant) but Lancelot just huffs amusement and strokes her again. ]
Forgive me, I almost forgot, it seems these -- [ He reaches out of the frame and his hand comes back holding a small, blue feather. ] -- have some kind of magic in them. It appears it does not discriminate in who it grants it to.
[ Which means he now has a small, magically inclined dog. ]
Thank you for your time.

Thank you for your time.
action;
[ He lifts his eyes back to hers, carefully takes his gambeson and holds it a moment. He knows shrugging it on will hurt too, so he's... putting that off... ]
Neither have you forgotten that I fought at Arthur's side. Here, there is no Camelot to be fought for. The courts make us take sides we do not choose. Here, the battles of our home are out of reach. I do not wish to fight for the sake of fighting. If anything, I wish only to better understand what came between you and Arthur.
action;
I was chained up in a pit for two whole years, [ as to prove her point she exposes her wrists, heavily scared the red flesh still fading. ] and did he ever come to save his own flesh and blood from the hands of cruel brutes? No, he left me to suffer at those hands.
action;
Who did this to you?
[ She may not wish to speak of it, that he understands, but this -- this is truly terrible. If she has been kept as long as she says, in such a way? Then her anger is sure to have only grown over that time. To have twisted deeper. ]
action;
What does it matter?
[ no, she does not wish to speak of it, thoughts alone fills her mouth with the taste of ash and sets her fingers to tremble. if she thinks on it too much her mind will go back there, to the darkness and the irons biting into her wrists and aithusa's pained cries her the pit cripples her bones. ]
action;
Perhaps here, it does not. It is only that I cannot think a person who would do such a thing is worth the air they breathe. They should not be live for having hurt you so, and I only hope they have paid for it.
action;
He will not live much longer. [ she mutters, breaking eye contact. ]
action;
[ He lifts his eyes hesitantly, holding his clothing awkwardly against his chest for a moment before finally admitting he's going to have to do something about his state of undress. ]
Forgive me, I should not trespass upon your time and kindness too long.
[ Lancelot starts to awkwardly try and shrug on his gambeson. It is, of course, difficult to achieve without straightening your arms too much so his movements are punctuated by flinches of pain. Reynard kept him with his wrists bound together and clipped under his chin, his muscles are still recovering from the prolonged tension. ]
action;
There is a servant outside my door, I had a room readied for you it is close. Inside there are fresh bandages and the salve I mentioned. Rest here for the evening at least you can leave tomorrow, no one will stop you.
action;
Thank you again. I hope you find some peace here.
