[ How had this happened? A sneeze? A hiccup? A belch? A misplaced thought?
Days ago, the birds twittered and fussed; cawed and clamored, and she had truly promised to do all she could, but she could only find the little ones. The small feathers, and who knew if this would help? But on she collected, doing her best. Then this had happened, two days ago, a day? She can't quite recall.
She's been learning to walk again, and her thoughts fly away with her mouth. A situation both wonderful and troublesome!
But here she is in the round mirror of the locket—woman or half-beast; a tiny girl materialized from sunbeam and breezes. She's wiry, more hair—full and framing and wisping at the temples; tangled with leaves, grass or flower-seeds, and burrs—than body. It keeps her modest, but barely: she's quite visibly nude and pale. The canines in her smile are too sharp: the wolf that won't allow itself to be suffocated under this trick. And the wolf boasts its ears through her mop of hair. Behind her, unseen, at the end of her spine it keeps its tail. ]
Hello, [ how nice it is to speak it. ] my body is different now. It does not keep the cold out. Is there someone—
I'm curious about clothes. I'll do my best to repay any help. [ Her narrow shoulders come up, then fall, as if she isn't sure what else to say. Starting conversation isn't very easy, and she's always been more suited to listening. ] And... conversation, I think, I would like that so very much.

Video
[ The one because she hadn't been able to learn his name just yet. Hopefully, soon. ]
Video
[He hadn't gone fishing with any other furry women, so that about proved it was the wolf. Amaterasu, he remembered was her name.]
Why are you now... human?
[Mostly human...?]
Video
—What would you like me to call you?
Video
I am called Javik.
What is your hunch?
Video
The... feathers. Do you know about them? As a wolf, I can understand birds easily, and they made such a cry over them, I've been trying to collect them. Then, well: this. But I don't understand why, because I can only hear tweeting and cawing now and I don't know their language anymore. Wouldn't it burden the birds to make me a human woman?
[ She shook her head. ] Told you it was a poor one.
Video
Not so poor, I think. A few days ago an elf found a feather that turned him invisible. It may not be so much a burden as an unintended consequence. If there had been a warning about the power of these feathers, these things could have been avoided.
[Or if anyone understood the birds. The ones that had come flocking to him had been dinner for his two varren.]
Video
O- oh! Invisible! Well, I think this much might be better than being invisible. [ Not that anyone saw the real her, anyway, but imagine not being looked upon at all. She'd probably go ballistic headbutting everyone. ]
Did he return to his old self? ...It wasn't Maglor, was it?
Video also laughing at the image of her heatbutting people
I would prefer to suffer invisibility than become another species.
[He couldn't handle hair. At the mention of Maglor, he nodded his head.]
Yes, it was Maglor. And he did once he discarded the feather.
Video you can canonly make her do this. i wish i could weasel it into a tag. one day.
Being human isn't so bad. Chillier, slower. I've got breasts now, and that's a definite plus.
Video headbutting is a thing in mass effect, too. i believe in you.
Are wolves not mammals? I do not see how they are a benefit either way.
[Between humans and the asari, the galactic community had an admiration for breasts that he just didn't understand.]
Video javik and ammy headbutting contest.
[ She might be glowing. She might be tooting her own horn a little bit. ] As for benefiting, they store milk when a woman is with child, or a wolf with a litter, and feed the young.
Video a thing that must happen in the near future
I will... take your word for it. At least you are enjoying your new body.
[A little too much, maybe?]
