Hello.

[ Alice has finally figured out how to lock this to her court! Yay. Well, no, the female imp she's befriended has figured out how to set that up for her. Awkward hellos aside, Alice clears her throat and speaks like she's been reading from a script.

So she's been rehearsing.]

As I am sure that you are all aware, there have been efforts to recover those feathers. I am not sure how far along the others are, but might I ask who would be interested in conjoining search efforts?

[She is not good at these things; Alice tosses her hair and opts to use a more casual tone, rolling her eyes at herself.]

I am at the station still, but I can make my way towards any parts of Drabwurld that need more unseelie hands. I will say I would prefer to go with the group I traveled with to the Redgate, but as far as others go, well. Maybe I prefer my own court.

Then... it is like that. But not quite. The place in which my knife came from.

Will you tell me of it?

[ Given how things have been for her in the past, Alice is quick to lock this. Here, she considers. She will tell him of a little, but not fully. He reminds her of the cheshire cat, but even then, she wants to be sure she could even confide in this being.

She can't possibly have a repeat of the Dollmaker. Alice's vorpal blade is in her hands, so that she can explain it a little better, less cryptically. ]

Your Void... it almost sounds like the world I had as a child. But-

This is the vorpal blade. It is keen and swift and it is meant to never dull. I've used to to slay many creatures- Jabberwocks, ruins, and then some. It was the only thing that could possibly make a cut through that dragon, no matter how small those cuts were.

But it is of my mind. It comes from the stories I held as a child, much like a hallucination. For it to be here is rather impossible. Besides, a literal piece of mind isn't supposed to manifest itself.

Jabberwocks. I have read that name in the histories of this world.

[ It's more of a murmur than anything, something that he doesn't expect Alice to reply to. ]

It is of a world that exists in your mind only?

[ Alice wishes she could get a gage of him better than what she knows about him currently. ]

It doesn't belong here.

[ She says it without explanation, of course, without informing him that she wished the death of the dragon in order to prevent it from coming back. ]

Well, yes. It does. It's like an imaginary friend.

And yet the Jabberwock existed here for a long time before you were brought here. Did it not?

[ he's a 4000 year old brat that's all you need to know alice ]

Perhaps Wonderland is not what you think.

[ Was it? Alice wants to know. ]

I know very well what it is.

[ This is actually the first time Alice becomes angry when talking to the Outsider. ]

And if the Jabberwock has, that is news to me. It may as well be another one - which is absolutely unheard of in my Wonderland. I slayed it, with this very knife and it's own eye. But it was killed! Or so I was lead to believe. That is why I sought that dragon's death, so that the Jabberwock does not return. These fools do not realize how terrible that creature really is.

[ Or at least the one she dealt with, one of her arch nemesis. ]

[ He's used to people being angry with him. He simply listens, then speaks himself. ]

Grell told me that this is known as the realm between all realms. Within each of us lies a shard that originated here. We are all connected to this place by that, if not more. [ The Jabberwock, the vorpal blade, the void... ]

[ THe anger fades rather quickly since there's really no point to hold a grudge over it. ]

And how did you learn of the Jabberwock in this world?

I have read a great deal, since coming here. Histories, legends, and so on.

So there is a great library here; where is it currently, Outsider?

I have read only in Caer Scima's library for now, at night when there are few around to speak with.

... I see.

[ Alice will have to come back to read through it to see what she can find. ]

But of course! That would be unavoidable in this world, there are plenty of interesting things.

It is certainly not lacking in that aspect.

Yes, I don't foresee that changing in any time soon. It's hard to be bored here, anyway.

I shall have to find things to occupy my time when all are sleeping, once I make it through the library.

[ Not that he's read the whole thing -- some of it is boring and there are a lot of books -- but he doesn't exactly think he'll be leaving soon, either. ]

And why is it that you don't sleep?

I do not need to. [ So why would he?

Do you not miss sleeping?

I am unsure what there is to miss.

Well, I would miss dreams! Dreams are wonderful to have. It's like stepping into another world.

I do exist in the realm of dreams, however, in my own world.

But... I suppose I do not, in this one.

That's a shame, really. You remind me of someone in my own world.
