[ Alice has finally figured out how to lock this to her court! Yay. Well, no, the female imp she's befriended has figured out how to set that up for her. Awkward hellos aside, Alice clears her throat and speaks like she's been reading from a script.

So she's been rehearsing.]

As I am sure that you are all aware, there have been efforts to recover those feathers. I am not sure how far along the others are, but might I ask who would be interested in conjoining search efforts?

[She is not good at these things; Alice tosses her hair and opts to use a more casual tone, rolling her eyes at herself.]

I am at the station still, but I can make my way towards any parts of Drabwurld that need more unseelie hands. I will say I would prefer to go with the group I traveled with to the Redgate, but as far as others go, well. Maybe I prefer my own court.

If we were to do that in the same matter that they have, it would end in disaster. Not in the same matter, but with more rationale and sanity.

Extend benevolence unto your enemy when it has not known humility, and it will only take you for a fool. You cannot tame a wild beast with virtue alone, for all the stories say it so.

I prefer to not have anything to do with them; they're nothing but pawns in the same game and even then, I've learned to take matters in my own hands and go my own way than show any sort of benevolence. There is only so much good will you can extend before it is turned against you. A wolf in sheep's clothing, if you will. The world is never that simple.

You've pragmatism. It will lend you more aid than its kind-hearted alternative. I think it wise.

I would certainly hope so! For some of us, we had to learn the hard way.

You're very correct, sir. Unfortunately on both accounts.

[ Good ol' Nan Sharpe and her own brothel; Alice will be at least grateful for the fact she never ended up working for Nan at her own insistence. ]

Both far too common to those in poverty and underneath the noses of the wealthy. There is more than that; even those you entrust your physical and mental well being can be just as much of a monster as a murderer if not more.
