Hello.

[ Alice has finally figured out how to lock this to her court! Yay. Well, no, the female imp she's befriended has figured out how to set that up for her. Awkward hellos aside, Alice clears her throat and speaks like she's been reading from a script.

So she's been rehearsing.]

As I am sure that you are all aware, there have been efforts to recover those feathers. I am not sure how far along the others are, but might I ask who would be interested in conjoining search efforts?

[She is not good at these things; Alice tosses her hair and opts to use a more casual tone, rolling her eyes at herself.]

I am at the station still, but I can make my way towards any parts of Drabwurld that need more unseelie hands. I will say I would prefer to go with the group I traveled with to the Redgate, but as far as others go, well. Maybe I prefer my own court.

It is more or less honoring his wishes but yes, he can be difficult. A little dense, but with good intentions.

You know, I'm sure the dryads would understand if he left briefly to help the birds.

[ It's just a matter of convincing Lancelot that that's the case. ]

Hopefully. Getting that man to do something other than scorn himself is like pulling teeth. He doesn't even eat.

Ugh. I hate it when they get like that, all mopey and not focusing on what needs to happen.

I planted a tree by my manor at his suggestion -- maybe we can use that as leverage, somehow.

Perhaps. Shin kicking certainly didn't work.

[ Ariadne laughs, surprised. ]

Well, was he wearing the armor when you did it?

Not at all, we were in the dining room at Redgate. He spent that whole night pouting at me when I told him I was grateful for his aid in battle. He's quite the wet blanket; it makes an amusing contrast compared to his abilities when he fights.

[ She can't help it. She laughs. ]

I wonder what the dryads think of that. Maybe we should make him a flower crown and see what they say about it.

[ She just. Thinks this over, even getting a little flustered when she says this- ]

Well, none of us are tall enough for that.

One of us could give the other a boost? Or we could do it on horseback.

[ Or ask for a ladder for their next boon. ]

[ There's an idea: a growing potion or cake. ]

We might be able to convince him to take a seat for a while. He is at least cordial enough to listen, unlike some men.

[ Alice's experience with the opposite gender has been limited and she has no room to talk. ]
