third shot ☢ VIDEO (open to seelie & unseelie)
[Kieren hasn't slept in two days. There are already dark circles under his eyes, the skin blue and purple. He's looked tired since he arrived, but this time it's apparent. His hair has gone wild, as though he's gripped it with both hands at various spots. His eyes are blood shot - he's been too preoccupied with what's happened to really notice.
His throat is scratchy when he speaks. It's a desperate sort of noise, one layered in denial. ]
I can't find Jem. She didn't come round to give me my shot yesterday or today, I thought maybe she'd gone off with one of you lot. But I can't find her anywhere.
[He doesn't want to accept that's here alone. It's too daunting. He lifts his hands to run them over his face, but when he looks at them, one is shaking. Frustrated, he viciously shakes the tremors out. His attention soon snaps back to his locket. ]
I've seen that people go home. How do you know if they have?

[That's gross, and Dean's not sure where to go with it. Anyone that lived off a steady diet of brains and bones wasn't someone he wanted to keep around. How did that even work? Especially here. Curiosity keeps him cordial. Well, that and wanting to keep his whole shtick on the down low.]
Why aren't you some moaning groaning vegetable?

Okay first of all, that's incredibly rude. Second of all there wasn't a virus to catch. I'm not contagious.

[He's not trying to be rude, but maybe it's a dead give away just how interested he is in the specifics. Not even movie buffs try this hard.]
I didn't mean to upset you, man. It's just... pretty bizarre. You gotta know that.

[Ur cute Dean, he will give you this one for free. ]
So December two-thousand and nine, everyone who had died from January of the same year up until around December twenty-third rose out of their graves as zombies. There was a war after, the living versus the dead but there was no infection. Whatever got us moving isn't contagious. I could bite you, for example, and you'd be fine after a tetanus.
After about five years, a couple of scientists managed to get a treatment to together to kick-start cell regrowth in our brains. No explanation as to why or how we came back, just a six week program of treatment, counselling and then packed on off home to a lot of tension and a lifetime of morning injections.
[He fidgets. ] Sorry, when I got home people like were me were still being executed in the streets. My best friend was murdered, just before I came here. I'm a little touchy about my - condition.
ykw my dad actually recommended this canon to me like a year ago. i'm gonna have to watch it. :'D
Dude, that's pretty jacked up. Did those uh, scientists, ever figure out what caused it? Or were they fine with just selling their drug no questions asked.
DO IT!! also that icon im
bitch i might ;)
[Even after being here a few months old habits die hard. Dean is way too interested in how whatever he is works, when it shouldn't matter. As long as he's not a threat.]
hella yeah
[he misses lamb though. ]
I can't eat, really. Brains are about the only thing I wouldn't vomit back up. But I don't eat.
/o/
[Despite the words, it's obvious Dean's more curious than anything else. He's not about to treat the guy any differently until he becomes a threat. That's not what he's about.]
So, what about your medication. How're you supposed to manage when that stuff's not available here?

[He's been worrying about this for weeks; it's probably obvious, by the way his whole demeanor changes. ]
