These dogs came to my door today. So I thought maybe they got away from Allison. They're hers. But no, I went to her room, and it's empty. It's like no one ever lived there at all... I can't reach her on the lockets, either. Allison Argent - has anyone seen her? If she's gone...

( she takes a breath to steady herself, licks her lips, tries to soothe her nerves. )

What happens to a person if they disappear from this world, but they've died in the world they're from? Because she's -- she's gone. ( then, in a quieter voice, little more than a whisper thick with emotion ) Stiles?

[ben is on his way to one of the fairy rings at the moment, having took a bit of a detour to get a better feel for his surroundings in case something happened. he's in no rush, occasionally taking a look at the locket network out of sheer curiosity.

he sees lydia's broadcast and pauses. the two of them had only spoken once, fairly briefly. he knows she's upset, but he has no idea what to do with girls who are upset. it bothers him that he can't answer her questions, too.]

You gonna be alright?

Eventually. ( at home, she's had to move on already, from allison's death. but here, allison's presence offered her a reprieve from dealing. now she faces it all over again. as if it's fresh and new. ) Thanks for asking.

[people die all the time, he thinks. but it's easier to disassociate when he has no connection to this girl that lydia mentioned.]

Just how it is. [he guesses.] You got friends to help you out?

( people do die all the time. but not always in the way allison did, and if he tried to tell her that, she would school him on exactly how special her best friend was, and how much impact her death had that not all deaths happen to have. )
