Video, Unseelie court
[It's early in the morning. Actually, it's the creeping up on the buttcrack of dawn, entirely too early in the morning, but there you are. Sun's not quite up yet; the cold light of early morning seeping into the cracks of windows, not enough to take the chill out of the night yet. Who's been up for a while? This guy. There's errands to run, and if it's going to take days to run them, might as well get started early. Really early.
So! Good morning, Caer Scima! You get a Troll. Or at least, the painted-up face of one.]
I'm Vol'jin, Chief of the Darkspear tribe. Wit' that out of the way, listen up:
I'mma be travelin' to the Station soon. Ya need somethin' from there, or ya just want company, or ya don't feel right travelin' wit'out someone to watch ya back, meet me down in the Courtyard at sunrise.
Bring ya own supplies, at least a week's worth. I ain't ya minder.
[This ain't no newbie fetch quest; don't expect him to hold your hand.
Chieftain out.]

video;
[ Because he's bored, even with the four Maidenfish flitting about him. ]
video right back.
Vol'jin just nods; it's too dark to see the Outsider's eyes very well, yet, over this tiny little doohicky. Of course, that just means the Outsider gets the joy of unnerving him in person, eh?]
That be fine. Just know there be a limit to how much time ya can take to decide.

Should it help, I need very little to travel.
[ Food for the Maidenfish, really, and they are perfectly capable of hunting. He may take a horse, simply so he can try to get used to the creatures.
Watch as it ends up trailing along behind them with the Outsider just teleporting every few feet. ]

[With the very blatant inference that he's not carrying your things, man, so, y'know, whatever. He smiles and...well, it's not the most welcoming thing ever. Even when taking into account the, uh, teeth. But it IS a smile, so, I'm giving him half a point for effort.
That would be kinda funny, not even gonna lie.
Hey man, you do you. You do you.And if nothing else, if they manage to get too much stuff? Pack animal.]no subject
[ And a faster moving speed, in all likelihood.
The Outsider is hardly bothered by all the teeth and tusks. He simply smiles back. It's rather like looking at a shark's smile, even if his teeth simply look like normal human teeth -- you just get the feeling from it. ]
I am the Outsider. [ He's kind of sort of learning something resembling manners. ] May I ask what you are, Chief Vol'jin?
no subject
Yeah, no, the more he looks at that, the creepier it is. Possibly due to the lack of something indefinable in the expression. He's not sure what, yet.
Also, this is the second person who's introduced himself as "the" anything since Vol'jin's been here. Two is an anomaly; three is a statistically relevant anomaly. He's...kinda hoping he doesn't meet that third person.]
A Gurubashi, of Azeroth.
no subject
I have heard of neither, but that is not so surprising in this world.
[ As much as he doesn't enjoy that fact, it leads to a great many more things catching his attention. ]

[ One of the fish swimming in the air around him slides closer, and he lets his fingers trail over its side. ]
We will have much to speak of on our journey.
[ Yeah he's pretty much decided he's going to come with. ]
no subject
[Oh man, are they gonna dish? Juicy details, man, he wants them.
OK, maybe not him, but I do.]
no subject
Either way, he nods, then closes the locket.
Shortly before sunrise, the Outsider is in the courtyard. His four black fish are still swimming around him in mid-air, but now there's a black horse behind him, too. The Outsider himself isn't standing, levitating off the ground instead. Despite his earlier comment about traveling light, the saddlebags seem full; a look inside will reveal various bones. ]
you know, it would probably behoove me to make an actual log for this. i think.
He's not looking in the bags; it's not his business, just yet. He DOES raise an eyebrow at the floating, which is...slightly unusual. But only slightly. He's just going to assume "mage, showing off."
At least, until the Outsider gets closer. With his creepy eyes. Fortunately, they're still all getting ready. Vol'jin is currently waiting on a redhead, who may have possibly been flirting with him? He isn't sure yet.
Vol'jin lifts his chin in greeting.]
haha probably
The Outsider offers a slow nod in turn, slightly surprised at just how tall the troll is; he's certainly the tallest being he's met so far. ]
Allow me to introduce my companions.
[ He waves a hand, and each of the four black fish transforms into a woman, features obscured by veils. ]
Nerina, Eleta, Derya, and Zeredah.
[ Each woman curtsies slightly in turn, then transforms back into a fish and returns to flitting around him. ]
soooooon.
Gonna assume they don't eat much.
[Because, y'know. Magic fairie fish women.
Anybody tell you yer eyes are creepy?]no subject
No, but they think it.]They can eat a whole man, should he fall into their trap.
no subject
Useful. And what's their trap?
no subject
Most mortal men are quite willing to follow a beautiful woman anywhere. Even into the water, deep enough that they can be drowned.
no subject
THAT'S PROBABLY A BAD THING, ALL THINGS CONSIDERED.That earns him a full-on, thigh slapping, rocking back on his heels laugh. He TOTALLY knows how that goes, yeah. It's happened before. Not to him, but...Guys can be kinda dumb. He's heard stories. Dragons in particular are fond of disguising as people. Also, demons.
He lets out an amused sigh and keeps smiling.]
Very useful. [+10, Vol'jin approves.]
no subject
Perhaps you'll get the chance to watch them work, [ the Outsider smirks, letting his fingers trail over the nearest long, gauzy fin. ]
If not, they are certainly an additional defense, should trouble find us on the road.
no subject
With luck, it won't be necessary. [But also not a bad thing to have around, either.]
