[It's early in the morning. Actually, it's the creeping up on the buttcrack of dawn, entirely too early in the morning, but there you are. Sun's not quite up yet; the cold light of early morning seeping into the cracks of windows, not enough to take the chill out of the night yet. Who's been up for a while? This guy. There's errands to run, and if it's going to take days to run them, might as well get started early. Really early.

I'mma be travelin' to the Station soon. Ya need somethin' from there, or ya just want company, or ya don't feel right travelin' wit'out someone to watch ya back, meet me down in the Courtyard at sunrise.

Bring ya own supplies, at least a week's worth. I ain't ya minder.

I've done it before and I can do it again. I'm still getting used to horses, though.

[ He'll bring his broom along, but for the time being, he's not as confident on it as he used to be.]

[He shakes his head sharply, and make a sound between a snort and a tiger chuff, scowling.]

Don't much like horses. [Understatement of the century.] We'll bring 'em, if we haveta, but I'm not ridin' one.

[ He truly sounds relieved to hear it. Horse are fine, but they're just odd and not aware enough. A nice thestral would be fine, wouldn't it?

Although he is not doing those dang Deathknight starter quests, please and thank you.]

[ Harry gestures and magically pulls up two little images to show what he means. ]

[You know, to his credit, he gives the images a good study for a moment before answering. He also threads fingers into his bear to give his chin a good scratch.]

Hm. No "thestrals," but the Night Elves keep hippogryphs.

I prefer me raptor. Like to keep me feet on the ground.

[ It takes Harry a while to go from 'raptor = bird of prey' to 'velociraptor', but he gets there eventually.]

I haven't come across one here, but I'll look for them. Surely there's bound to be something similar.

[You know, funnily enough, he probably wouldn't even jump to "bird of prey". Cultural bias, y'know.]

I won't hold me breath. [Although he would really like to not be a pedestrian (or rely on horses) the whole time he's here, true facts.]

Not too sure. I've been by the station on the way to Mair, but never got the chance to really stop in and visit. I'm in Redgate at the moment, but once I've been somewhere, I can get there easily enough.

To...Mair, from Redgate.... [Another pause, still looking down at the paper on the ground, as he interprets the map.] So, ye'd want the Daonna Ring, and we'd meet at the Station ring... Then ye'd head south. So, probably not more than a couple days, til the road fork.

[He finally looks bask at the locket.] Still, we'd welcome ya.

[Or several. But if the entire party is magic users, you've probably got a balance problem.

Actually, there was a balance problem as soon as the chaotic weird whale god signed up, but it's probably a stat improvement. But what's Harry's THAC0?]

I can travel without the rings, so I can meet you pretty much anywhere along the road to the Station.

[ Even so, he's probably not going to make it given that in the next couple days he's going to learn that Hermione has been kidnapped and Alyosha will have tasked him with finding out who's sending assassins.
