II [Video; open to both courts]
[The video feed on the amulet shows Zelos sitting crosslegged on his bed. The room looks to be a rather comfortable room that's given to people of nobility in the Seelie court. Though other than what looks like a small vase of purple flowers on the nightstand, there's not much in the way of personal touches.]
Well what do you know, I've been here almost a month now! Which is a lot longer than I'd like, buuuut from the sounds of how long people get stuck in this place - I probably shouldn't complain too much.
[Though always going to complain some.]
Anyway! Since it seems pretty normal to ask questions on these locket - I thought I'd might as well throw in a few of my own again if there's any kind souls willing to answer! I mean, I always prefer to hear it from a lovely female voice, but don't worry- I can settle. ♥
[He clears his throat. For each number, he makes counts them off on his hand]
And... [He taps his chin] I think that's it! Huh! I thought there would've been more! Oh well!

1. Just what exactly were those shadowy blob guys? I mean, other than the name I can't say. Any idea just where they came from? Are they like a normal thing in this place? Because seriously, talk about annoying and creepy.
2. Is there anyone who can tell me more about the Shards? Yeah, I already know they're crystals inside us that the courts want to collect- but why? What are they made of? How'd did they get into us? Honestly...any information would be of use.
3. Does anyone know where I can get more hair ties or supplies? Because I'm down to my last tie, and that's a serious problem!
And... [He taps his chin] I think that's it! Huh! I thought there would've been more! Oh well!

[Okay, but he asked first.]
In the realm of Magix. [Flora rests her head on a hand and uses the other to tick things off.] Something always happens, because the school itself housed something villains have wanted, or because my friends and I were there, or just because it's one of the three schools of the realm that can and will do something to stop whoever's out to destroy or control worlds, or otherwise commit evil of some kind, so they're always out to destroy it before we can.
[Oh, right.]
There may also a bit of a rivalry between witches and fairies. [She winces and raises her thumb and forefinger close together.] The witches play some sort of prank every year. They hexed the food at last year's orientation to turn anyone that ate it into frogs. And then a fight broke out.
[She shrugs.]
no subject
[And okay that makes a bit more sense, but it's still weird]
Ah, nothing like a good ol' rivalry to bring out the best in everyone.
- But wait, the schools were the ones tho take care of those problems? Does your world not have a military of any sort?
no subject
Nothing happened at school last year, though! [Wait.]
Well, no property damage.
[Wait.]
Not much property damage.
[Nodnod!]
It does, but the way things have happened, we've had to take care of things largely on our own. Every year, my school was directly targeted, and the other two schools often were, as well. In third year, a dark wizard went around enslaving everyone militaries across realms, as well as the witches of Cloud Tower, so there was no help there.

[He snorts a little at her amending her statement.]
Oh, I see. Well that kinda stinks. Nice to hear that you guys get this stuff sorted out though.
no subject
[Still, she sounds pleased!
And at least her school isn't by a cursed forest!! ...even if that sounds interesting because forest.]
Yeah, it is the purpose of our schools, mostly. Red Fountain is a military school for specialists, and graduates usually go on to serve at home. Alfea and Cloud Tower are where girls go to learn to be fairies or witches, which isn't all about fighting, but we're still very combat-oriented since Guardian Fairies go on to protect their home realms, usually. The schools on Magix are particularly prestigious, so they're entrusted with a lot.
Oh but what about the forest makes it cursed?
no subject
[So rude Flora. AND NO FLORA YOU DON'T GO INTO THE CURSED FOREST]
The Gaoracchia Forest? Well, let's see- [calmly listing them off] there's hordes of undead, no light can get through the trees and the layout is a maze- so if you don't know the exact path you can get lost in there forever. [a shrug!] Needless to say, most people'll go around it.
[Unless you're hardcore as hell like Presea]
So I take it you were at Alfea or Cloud Tower? But wait, how do you learn to be fairies. I thought you were born one.
no subject
[She siiiiighs.]
Undead. I'm sorry, that sounds like such a pain. How are they even roaming? Do they just...does that just keep happening?
[Some things really just need to stay dead. Usually.]
Well, I was speaking a little figuratively, in that we go to learn what being a fairy means, but it's funny you should mention that. It's actually not so cut and dry. Some people are born as them or as whatever they are, but it can often be a choice. What we're born with is our magical potential and when we come into powers we choose what we're going to be. Other things affect it, but that's how it goes.
no subject
No idea. I never looked into it. [He stretches a little] I mean there's legends and stuff, but my interactions with undead is limited to killing them.
Wait so...you could have decided to be not a fairy and just something else instead? [HOW DOES THAT WORK]
shit the things i realise about my canon at 4am
Never lo--Zelos are zombies a regular occurrence or something? People stay dead when they're killed! Usually! You're not the least curious about why this happens? [Unbelievable! He's unbelievable!]
Yes, I could have been a witch at the very least, perhaps a sorceress? Choosing to be a witch is the more popular option of those two, and it's probably a big reason why the rivalry between witches and fairies is as prolific as it is. The witches usually instigate things, but both sides have derided the other for their Choice for every reason under the sun. They're often petty or about fashion choices.
[Because mudslinging about fashion choices is serious.]
It has gotten better in recent years, though! [Optimistic smile.] I've never had an inherent problem with them, but my personality isn't really suited to, nor do I really believe in their philosophies overall, even if I can understand why they have some of them and think they're necessary.
[IT ALMOST SOUNDS LIKE SHE'S TALKING ABOUT--WAIT FOR IT--A RELIGION!]
Also Cloud Tower is incredibly gloomy and a little scary, not to mention the sun never shines there, and I just could not deal with any of that.
ROFL
Hey, it's not like they're resurrected - just reanimated! [Because that makes it so much better] And not really, no. It's been going on for ages and I much rather hang around living people than rotting corpses, thanks.
[IT DOES A LITTLE BIT. Except Zelos if viewing it more as a faction than that. Like someone choosing to join the Royal Army instead of the Papal Knights or the Mizuho Ninjas. Not that he's sure they allow outsiders in Mizuho but still!]
Huh...that's kinda strange. But I guess I can see where the rivalry comes from. But what would've happened if you choose not to be a fairy- would someone else become the Fairy of Nature?
HERE U GO U BUTT
[She rolls her eyes when it comes to the zombies, because yeah, that totally sounds so much better, Zelos.]
Here's hoping someone manages to find a way to stop them, permanently.
[Oh, but then he asks a pretty good question.]
Actually, I'm not the only one who has that title, since it's something you get when you graduate. [Even if canon might say otherwise.] Many fairies from my planet would, since it's a nature realm, and it's not even the only place in universe where you can find nature fairies, anyway. I'm not even the most powerful--the Major Fairies are another story. Their control over their aspects is remarkably strong, absolute even.
YAY /BOOMERANGS
[What is ever giving a helpful answer]
Yeah, no kidding. That forest really isn't fun to go through.
[Though he doubts that's gonna happen anytime soon.]
Hmmm, so you're actually more "A" Fairy of Nature instead of "The". Okay, I think I'm getting it. And so those Major Fairies are a bit like Spirits, right? I mean, in terms of power?
no subject
[Something Zelos never does obviously!!!]
They could be, I haven't seen a Spirit for myself so I can't say, but when things between my friends and them were a little, um, rocky, I couldn't overcome The Major Fairy of Nature's magic. It was immense. [She ponders.] And a drop of magic from something The Major Fairy of the North has could freeze the entire universe.
no subject
[Exactly!]
Whoa, seriously!? [That's insane!] Why would she keep something like that around?
no subject
[B(]
Seriously. [She also threatened to break it one time, but it's water under the bridge.
Flora raises her hands helplessly like she can understand the danger, but at the same time, them's the breaks and it's not THAT big a deal.] It's the source of her magic, so she sort of has to.
no subject
[Because I'm sure that makes sense]
That...sounds like a pain. I hope she has it in a well made container then.
no subject
[She'll get the truth out of you yet, bro!!]
I don't know if she normally keeps it contained. [In the truest sense of the word: she doesn't. Aurora got to it before they could, but Diana didn't, even if it was a little hard to find.
and yet NOT HARD ENOUGH BECAUSE THIS SHOW IS STUPIDShe probably does. Maybe. It's safe, anyway. It's not something you can even handle if you have no right to it.]no subject
[I hope you are prepared for the truth being CRAZY]
Oh...well... [that's worrying!] If you're sure it's safe, then I'll believe ya!
no subject
Wait, pardon me? You merged them I've never heard of such a thing!
[And she's heard of a LOT of magical things, but this kind of takes the cake.
And the plate.
And the silverware.]
no subject
I mean, alright- it was mostly Lloyd's doing. But the rest of us helped out.
no subject
[Okay, she hasn't forgotten the Chosen One thing, not there's really anything there to forget but this is interesting too and maybe she'll get lucky and he'll explain it.]
How does this even happen?
no subject
No, they definitely don't do that often. It was a very big deal for us too.
How though is a...long story. You sure you wanna hear it?
no subject
But it becomes a real smile, soft and gentle.]
Worlds themselves mean a great deal to me, as you can imagine--to all fairies where I come from, actually--so I would love to hear it, but only if you're up to telling it.
no subject
[He gives a shrug] I don't mind.
[He knows how to edit out the parts that he doesn't want to talk about :x ]
Anyway, remember how I said mana was the source of all life and magic in my world?
no subject
But Flora nods, and while she doesn't jump to conclusions, she can't help but wonder. Maybe something serious happened?]
Yes, I remember. [Her lips quirk, like she wants to say something further, but maybe she should just let Zelos tell his story.
But he could also want her to think about things, if for no other reason than it meaning that he'd end up having to talk less as a result.
Maybe that's not at all the case, though. And it seems she's going to speak after all.]
...Something didn't compromise it, did it?
