II [Video; open to both courts]

[The video feed on the amulet shows Zelos sitting crosslegged on his bed. The room looks to be a rather comfortable room that's given to people of nobility in the Seelie court. Though other than what looks like a small vase of purple flowers on the nightstand, there's not much in the way of personal touches.]

Well what do you know, I've been here almost a month now! Which is a lot longer than I'd like, buuuut from the sounds of how long people get stuck in this place - I probably shouldn't complain too much.

[Though always going to complain some.]

Anyway! Since it seems pretty normal to ask questions on these locket - I thought I'd might as well throw in a few of my own again if there's any kind souls willing to answer! I mean, I always prefer to hear it from a lovely female voice, but don't worry- I can settle. ♥

[He clears his throat. For each number, he makes counts them off on his hand]

1. Just what exactly were those shadowy blob guys? I mean, other than the name I can't say. Any idea just where they came from? Are they like a normal thing in this place? Because seriously, talk about annoying and creepy.

2. Is there anyone who can tell me more about the Shards? Yeah, I already know they're crystals inside us that the courts want to collect- but why? What are they made of? How'd did they get into us? Honestly...any information would be of use.

3. Does anyone know where I can get more hair ties or supplies? Because I'm down to my last tie, and that's a serious problem!

And... [He taps his chin] I think that's it! Huh! I thought there would've been more! Oh well!

I'm not willing to put my home in danger again. .... But I think it's also dangerous to assume they're telling the truth when they can't even tell us what these Shards are. [ that alone makes him think there's some other agenda that they don't know about. Sure wouldn't be the first time the sides weren't what they seemed for him. ]

... Exspheres?

Yeah, good point. [He sighs] I heard about a library in Air Leth, that apparently contains all recorded history of this world. Think looking there might help sort out the truth?

[Even if it's very...very...very far away]

Exspheres are special power crystals. Someone who has one equipped properly gets their physical and magical capabilities greatly enhanced. You can use them to power magitechnology too.

However, they're made out of people's lives. A group called the Desians used to harvest people to make them, but now that they're gone they're highly illegal - as they should be.

Sounds like it's worth a shot. Even if we don't find exactly what we're looking for, a place like that sounds like it could be pretty useful.

[ the rest gives him pause though. ]

So an energy source made out of people's lives? That's—... [ he doesn't outright say the word disgusting, but it's pretty evident in his tone. ] Why would anyone do that?

Then I'll look into a way of getting there. Might take a bit though.

[Seeing as it's on the other side of the continent and all that]

[And believe him, he 100% agrees with the assessment it's disgusting] I don't know. I haven't found any records of their invention, just that it happened sometime in some ancient war. As for the Desians...they didn't like humans, and felt that was how to go about it.

Maybe there's a fairy ring near it? There might still be some travel, but it'd shave a week or two of travel off at least.

... I see. I knew of a group that wanted to kill off humanity myself. But as long it's over with, I guess none of the rest matters.

Hmm. Maybe. I didn't notice any on the map, but I can ask around.

Geez, another group? What's with that? [He sighs] Well, the Desians are all gone too. I'm just hoping this whole Shard deal isn't a repeat.

They have signs with the locations listed on them. I can take a look the next time I head out.

I wouldn't say they didn't have reason, even if I didn't agree with them. But it ended well, so I can't complain. [ shrug. ] But they do make it sound like we're born with them, at least.

[wilder]

Yeah? Then lemme know, okay?

Yeah...glad it worked out for you guys. [Gosh people stop trying to kill humans!] Yeah that's...weird to think about. [Nevermind he was born with a goddamn cruxis crystal] You think a doctor would've noticed something weird.

[ DEFINITELY WEIRD.... you'd think they would have caught something like that in a x-ray or something. ]

... Who knows. Maybe it didn't take form right away. At least in my world, there's powers you'll never know you have or can possess until they actually manifest.

[wilder]

Yeah...guess so.

[He gives a little frustrated sound and tugs on one of his locks of hair]

There's just too many unknowns. I hate being in the dark like this.

.... No kidding. I always knew how I should be fighting up until now.

[ being separated from his friends nearing five months now doesn't exactly help matters. he sighs, and attempts to change the subject before it begins—it's something he's been trying to avoid thinking about. ]

At any rate, we're bound to find something sooner or later. We just have to keep trying.
