II [Video; open to both courts]

[The video feed on the amulet shows Zelos sitting crosslegged on his bed. The room looks to be a rather comfortable room that's given to people of nobility in the Seelie court. Though other than what looks like a small vase of purple flowers on the nightstand, there's not much in the way of personal touches.]

Well what do you know, I've been here almost a month now! Which is a lot longer than I'd like, buuuut from the sounds of how long people get stuck in this place - I probably shouldn't complain too much.

[Though always going to complain some.]

Anyway! Since it seems pretty normal to ask questions on these locket - I thought I'd might as well throw in a few of my own again if there's any kind souls willing to answer! I mean, I always prefer to hear it from a lovely female voice, but don't worry- I can settle. ♥

[He clears his throat. For each number, he makes counts them off on his hand]

1. Just what exactly were those shadowy blob guys? I mean, other than the name I can't say. Any idea just where they came from? Are they like a normal thing in this place? Because seriously, talk about annoying and creepy.

2. Is there anyone who can tell me more about the Shards? Yeah, I already know they're crystals inside us that the courts want to collect- but why? What are they made of? How'd did they get into us? Honestly...any information would be of use.

3. Does anyone know where I can get more hair ties or supplies? Because I'm down to my last tie, and that's a serious problem!

And... [He taps his chin] I think that's it! Huh! I thought there would've been more! Oh well!

Don't mention it.

As far as point one goes, I can't help you, but such occurrences are pretty consistent. I wouldn't go far as to say something like them happens every month, as that'd be incorrect and I don't want to imply a false pattern here, but they're regular. There were falling stars a little while ago, and a worm invasion even further back.

Hold up- wait. Falling stars? What happened then?

The monarchs asked for them to be returned. Most people compiled - those that didn't had a particular memory of theirs broadcast over the network for all to see.

[wilder]

Seriously? Somehow I'm getting the feeling they weren't happy memories broadcasted.

Was that the monarch's doing or the stars? And what...were the stars like?

[gordianknots]

The emotion did vary, but they were ultimately just personal.

The stars, the monarchs seemed pretty taken aback by the whole thing. As for what they were like, I supposed large diamonds is the best comparison - except far brighter.

[wilder]

Jeez, glad I missed that.

I see. [There's a slight pause on his end] So we're not even under a sky of real stars. That's a slightly unsettling piece of information.

It was interesting, to say the least.

Essentially, that's the takeaway. Doubtlessly your court's library would have further elaboration, assuming that there's a lot of work done on astronomy here.

Did you return your star?

Hm. I'll take a look, but astronomy's really more my friend's area. I just know basics.

I did, yes.

Well, at least you'll have a better idea of what you're looking at, rather than one person talking to you over the communications network.

Hm, true true.

So what was the worm invasion?

[gordianknots]

Exactly what it sounds like. Big worms getting into stuff. I was sort of tuned out at that point, focusing on the library collections, so the details aren't something I know off hand. I was fresh arrived and wanted to get the world under my belt.

Really? Wow. You actually...managed to ignore an invasion so you could read.

That...takes skill, haha!

The library is, admittedly, huge.

Oh? You mean the Seelie or Unseelie library?

[gordianknots]

I was under the impression that they were roughly the same size.

And admittedly, I was also rather absorbed in what I was reading. It's a particular skillset.

Yeah, probably. But I do wonder if the content's the same...

Oh? What were you reading about?

[gordianknots]

Well there will be biases in what's collected, especially with regards to histories. Can't have one history book that supports the other side and so on.

And a mix. History, geography, anything that would catch me up on this place.

[wilder]

Yeah, but doesn't that make it all more important to know both sides? See if the truth's somewhere in the middle.

Ah, gotcha.

Absolutely - although studying what's present gives you an idea of the baises that the library and it's court has. Subtler ones, I mean. There are also resources outside of both courts for that. A library in the remote northwest exists, belonging to the Drabkeeper, that supposedly holds all of recorded history here. It's a very long way out, but I'm hoping worth the trip.

A library with all recorded history...?

[THAT catches his interest. If Raine was here, she'd probably have a seizure. There's a pause and if the video feed is still on, he can see him getting off to jump of his bed and grab the map - sitting back down and rolling it open in front of him]

On Air Leth, you mean? Any ships go out there? Or are there ways to fly in this place?

So all the books that I've read say. Even if it isn't 100% true, I'm interested to know what they have.

My research indicates ships will take you there, and I know that some people have cleggs - winged horses - that they can use for air travel.

[wilder]

Yeah, I'd say it's worth taking a look at the very least.

A clegg huh? How does someone get their hands on one of those? [Sure, he technically doesn't need flight things- but if it's faster than his wings or safer, he'd take it]

I honestly don't know, I only know of one person who has one and I never inquired as to where she got it.

[wilder]

Hmm. Fair enough. I can look into that on my own.

Though...I gotta ask.

Animal.

Four legs, long neck, used for travel.

[Waver's had some problems adjusting to using horses for transportation, he's definitely had to explain technology to people, but this is new.
