[Aubri speaks with an urgent clipped tone, though it's fairly obvious there's something distracting him: he looks to the side every now and again before his gaze flits back to the locket.]

Has anyone seen or heard from a woman named Ariadne? [There's a hint of desperation there; he's really like someone to answer him in the positive here.] She disappeared--

[And his distraction strikes again: Ariadne's bandersnatch cub is apparently doing something dumb off-screen.] Straton. [Aubri turns back to the locket.] She disappeared last night near the Station Ring. I fear--

--Straton, enough. [There's a bit of rustling off-screen and then Aubri hisses. Just before the broadcast ends, there's one more thing said -- and it's obviously not meant for the wider audience.] That is my tail. Thrice-blighted little--

[And the locket closes.]

[A pause] Perhaps. She stepped into the shadows to travel, as she can do, and did not return.

[ Maglor chews his lower lip, a tell he shares with his cousin ]

If they are made of shadows themselves is it possible they hold her captive? I imagine they little like one invading their domain. [ He does not voice the other alternative, that they may have killed her ] Or... she may be lost, in the shadow realm.

It is possible. I am hoping that, perhaps, someone has seen her -- or that Ariadne herself will answer. [A vain hope, he knows.] I do not know what to do.

We wait, I suppose - some times it is all any may do. Do you know if any other than her had the ability to walk in shadows? They might seek for her, in that case. I will keep an eye out, on my end. The smaller beasts are easy enough to ward off, but there is a larger one, and I fear for her safety as well.
