Her eyes are wider than they normally are and it's obvious to anyone who's seen panic that she's trying to fight back a little of it right now. She also has her back to a door, one that she seems to be trying to keep closed.]

Okay. Okay. Um, I did not sign up for this, okay? Okay. There are... things out there. It ate one of the little flying guys. Then there were more and then it got bigger and then...

[Then she found her leg being caught and pulled and she'd tripped and bumped her chin and kicked at it until her shoe fell off and she was freed. And now she needed a new shoe.]

It took my shoe.

[This is very important, guys. She now only has one shoe and can't run properly.]

I don't suppose anyone has a... thing that can make them go away, do they? Maybe a really bright flashlight? Or... crap, I don't know. Anything?

[ She turns the locket to give a glimpse of a huge shaggy dog, chilling out next to her feet. ] So far, he's the only thing I've found that works.

[Yes, that's a little doubt in her voice, Allison. She's seen the little shadowy things gnaw on furniture and try to gnaw on her and it's a little difficult to wrap her head around the fact that a dog might be the answer.

[That was right, right? Yes, totally right. Because it had sounded like 'schemer' to her when she'd heard it.]

[ Crap. ] That's still a day's travel, even with the rings. I got this one from the houndmasters in Caer Glaem, they've got to have something like it where you are. Unless you think you can hold out?

What the hell is a houndmaster? And how am I supposed to get a hold of them stuck in a-- where the hell am I?

[She'd run into the nearest room without checking to see what it was. She was in... someone else's room. Oops?]

I really hope the people around here aren't up to killing someone for being in their room without permission.

That would be a resounding 'yes'. And I'd really sort of like for this wild ride to be over. Mr. Toad can keep it.

I'm going to be writing a very stern letter of disapproval to these monarch guys.
