[ gwen. she regrets the name as soon as she writes it, but what else was she to say? anything to get the subject off herself. ]

[ she takes a deep breath and switches to video option. so here you go morgana, a girl with green eyes and freckles and a pink dress and what seems to be a roomful of hair with no end in sight. ]

[ that... yeah, that is a lot of hair. it takes her by surprise, stunning her into momentary silence. ]

But that's -- not really the secret. People tried to take it which is why Mother and I never left the tower. ever. to protect me and my secret.

[ she bites her lip ]

it's sort of magic.

[ rapunzel please. ]

Something cannot be 'sort of' magic. [ silly girl. morgana tilts her head. ]

How is it magic?

[ she takes a deep breath that's more like a long suffering sigh. ]

ok. but you promised.

[ she had cut her arm the last time she tried to climb down the window. it is no longer bleeding but still evident. she clears her throat and carefully wraps the ends of her hair around the cut.

and then she sings.

as she sings (flower gleam and glow, let your power shine -heal what has been hurt, change the fate's design - ). it would only stop glowing wen the song will come to an end (save what has been lost, bring back what once was mine ).

when she slips the hair from her arm, there is not even a scar to the cut which once was there. ]

[ her surprise returns briefly before she settles for something more neutral. that she did not expect, though it answers the most glaring of questions. many would covet her hair if they knew of her power, they would hunt her down like a dog to stake their claim on it. ]

Yes, I do. [ no wonder she wants to hide. morgana cants her head to the right. ]

[ she brightens for a moment before sighing again ]

but people have tried to take it for their own use. The only trouble is if you cut it -

[ she moves her hair to show a single shorter strand colored chocolate brown ]

It loses its powers. That's why I must keep it safe, you know?

[ morgana inhales, leaning back in thought. ] Yes, I understand. [ thoughts swirl about her head─ the advantages of such magic is undeniable, especially if her hair were able to heal any affliction, or perhaps even cheat death.

the smile is perhaps a little to quick to her face and a little too stiff, she doesn't yet know what to do with this information. ]

Do not fear, you and your hair will be safe. [ she tries to mimic morgause when her sister tended to her; soothing the panic and fear and anger she felt so fiercely after merlin's betrayal. ( she tries to mimic how gwen would sound when she tried to sooth away her nightmares. ) ] I will not tell anyone, nor will I allow any to bring harm to you.

You - You'll help me?

[ hopefully. her eyes go widewide ]

You really....don't think that I'm --- super weird? freaky?

[ she gives the locket of quizzical look that lasts only a few seconds. ]

[ she looks at her hair and then back at the locket ]

that's freaky, isn't it? do - people in your world have magical healing hair?

No, not that I know. [ but hey it is a big bad world, someone might have magical healing hair. inhale, it takes most of her willpower to keep her voice soft. ] No form of magic is considered freaky, magic simply is magic. What you have is a gift, it is not a curse nor does it magic you strange.

That - must be wonderful.

[ she smiles a bit. ]

if you don't have to live in a tower alone for so long. You actually get to - run and dance and meet people.
